Distractions

Dalton ran a hand through his already messy hair and looked hard at Gentry. "Promised to a Ravenclaw?" he mused, smirking. It was on the verge of comical. "Uh, well let's see. There's plenty of ways to go with this kind of.../problem/: Plead with your father, rather boring if you ask me though, Murder, lots of consequences if caught, Set the chick up and convince your dad she's a shame to the family name, or...slip her name to The Dark Lord." Dalton finished, saying the last suggestion quieter than the others.

Blair walked out of the bathroom, making sure her skirt was a little shorter than it was before. "I'm baaaaaaaack!" she sang, and sat down. "Did you miss me?" She smiled at Gentry.

[Justly]

"I did," Gentry replied with a wink. However, his grin faded as he glanced back at Dalton.
"It's not so much 'promised' as it is shoved at and hand cuffed to. Pleading? Failed. Murder? Too messy... Set her up? Tried it, didn't work. And the last one? It's a little extreme, don't you think?"

[Andi Lupin]

"Well.. we could.. Maybe I can convince him to change his mind. I've got a little experience in that area.." Jessica suggested. She wasn't sure how Gentry's father would take her methods of persuasion, but she had to try something. She couldn't let that.. girl be forced upon one of her best friends. When Jessica sey her mind on something, little could be done to sway her.

"Eh, maybe that is a little extreme." he agreen, finishing up his drink. He looked at Jessica and shook his head. "Please don't do anything to uh, make him hurt you or something.." he said, trying out the concerned boyfriend thing again.

[Andi Lupin]

"No, nothing like that. I wouldn't want to worry my woderfully amazing boyfriend. I was thinking more like.. I could pose as Gentry's girl for the Christmas break.. and ask his dad to reconsider. Then, after that.. have a huge fight.. because I was secretly seeing you.. and break up. Leaving Gentry to get whomever he pleases?" Jessica was making it up as she went along, but it sounded like an okay plan in her mind.

Dalton mulled it over while Madame Rosmerta placed a second mug in front of him. "If there's no other plan, then I guess I can agree to that. But-" he glares at Gentry, "You touch her and your dead." finished Dalton, holding his gaze for another second before taking a gulp of Firewhiskey. The warm liquid swished down his throat easily.

Gentry was trying to retain a grin of amuesment, "Thought of all that just now, Jessica? I have to doubt it. Seems like you've been mulling that over for a while. How touching, Jess, you acctually care," He said before turning his attention to his firewhiskey. When he was done, he moved on to Dalton. "Tell you what, you might aswell come along, Dalton. I don't plan on doing anything to Miss Jessica there. Honestly, she's not my type, no offense Jess. But if it makes you feel better about things. Of course I understand if your suddenly busy..." Gentry mused, arching a brow as he slid his empty glass from hand to hand.

Blair sighed. She had no idea what was going on. Now Gentry and Jessica were going to pretend to be dating to do what? She had no clue. But she didn't like it. She took a huge swig of firewhiskey, angered that it hadn't fully kicked in yet.

Dalton shook his head. "I don't think I will be coming. It will just mess things up." he said, his gaze running back and forth between Gentry and Jessica. "I know we're trying to fix your ever so interesting love life, Gentry, but shouldn't we focus more about what she's planning? For all we know maybe she's trying to kill you so she doesn't have to marry you." he said. He didn't really think that's what the Ravenclaw girl was planning, but you never know.

"Okay, I might have had a few ideas running through my head awhile back. And, it's not that I care.. it's just that I hate her and I don't want her around any more than is necessary." Jessica said with a smile. Of course, she did care about Gentry. He was one of the few guys she could talk to that wasn't just trying to get her in bed. "Christmas break isn't far off, so I guess we should make plans to do this right. Cause, if we mess this one up, death is the next plan on the list." Jessica had an innocent smile the whole time she was speaking. Jessica Malfoy, the killer with a smile.

"Am I allowed to know what's effing going on? Seriously," Blair looked at Gentry, her eyes pleading. "I mean, I don't have to know details. But. Rough outline? Please?" Blair rarely ever begged, but she was also a very nosy person. If you were the right person, Blair could be trusted. But someone like Jessica and everything would be spilt.

Gentry chuckled dryly. "And they say your vicious, Jessica."
He tilted his head to the side to look at Blair.
"If you must know, the rough outline is that I'm chained to an aggravating and potentially dangerous Ravenclaw and dearest Jess is going to help me out of it. And I agree Dalton, I'll find her and start nosing around a little more and find out what I can. If it's threatening to whats been going on lately, I'll gladly let you know."

Jessica chuckled. "Vicious? Only when I want to be. And not to you Gentry. You know you're like a brother to me." Jessica affectionately rumpled his hair. Jessica did have her moments when she was just like everyone else, but really it doesn't come often. "I guess, now that you're in on everything Blair.. It would be nice to have your help. If you're willing to put the past in the past for now, we can work... together." Jessica didn't really want to work with Blair, but maybe it would be nice. The terrible two, back together for one last mission. If only.

Gentry took a long moment to stare at Jessica, the smile having died off his face. His eyes had widened ever so slightly before he turned to look at Dalton and then Blair before looking back at Jessica.
Pretending to clear out his ear, "Excuse me, Jess, but could you repeat those last three or two sentences for me? I don't think I heard you correctly..."
