Name: Amity Cecelia Laurens
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Year: 6th
House: Hufflepuff
Photograph:
Appearance: Amity has long dark brown hair that she ties at the back of her head for when she plays Quidditch. At any other time, its in some wonky style. Her eyes are a dark chocolate brown, and her skin is slightly tanned.
Played By: Amity
Personality: Amity is extremely enthusiastic at whatever she does, especially gaining House Points. She likes to do her best, but to have fun doing it. She’s a tad eccentric, and refuses to listen to reason, especially when it comes to one of her nutty schemes. She is a little stubborn, or as her brother puts it, pig-headed. She has trouble coping with failure, but she has found that making a competition out of things brings up her grades. She does best in Charms, but, alas, has a little trouble in Defense Against the Dark Arts.
However, despite her flaws, she’s not lonely. She’s rather loud, so everyone knows who she is. She’s not popular, but not infamous either. Just well-known, whereas she can strike up a conversation with almost anybody and they’ll know who she is. Even though she can, most people avoid her. They call her a nutcase and run away. Amity, being the competitive person that she is, insults them right back. It is for this reason that she doesn’t have many friends.
History: Amity was born on October 13th, in the muggle world. She was born in Houston, Texas, where her father, a pureblood, was staying with his wife, a muggle. At the time, her older brother, Adair, was a one year old boy. She grew up in the muggle world until Adair hit eleven, and when he went off to Hogwarts, she and her family moved to the wizarding world to stay for a year until she too turned eleven and went off to Hogwarts.
When that day finally came, Amity was so excited. Doing magic just like her father had always been her dream. Her father took her out and got her a wand, a broomstick, an owl, everything she’d need. And then, King’s Cross Station. He took her and Adair to Platform Nine and Three Quarters, and then the train came.
That day was the best day of Amity’s life.
Other: Amity sneaks out late at night to practice broomstick flying. She is beater on the Quidditch team and is very good at her job, but always aspires to do better.
