"I know. I mean, I get that, but.. you know what I mean." Alex frowned. He didn't want to outright ask if he liked her, that just wouldn't work. Roan was smart enough to catch his drift though. He sat back away from Roan, giving him some space so he could cool down.

Roan layed back on the bed he was on, just thinking. He knew exactly what he felt, but whether he wanted to tell Alex was another thing. But if he told him, he'd probably stop always getting on his case. "Yes... I do... how could I not?" he said, almost a whisper. He sighed and got up, summoning himself a glass of water.

Alex nodded. "It is kind of obvious you know. Are you asking her to the dance? We have one coming up soon I believe." Alex figured that he had liked Andi, but he wasn't entirely sure. He was okay with it too. Despite the trouble they got into, he trusted that Andi could take care of herself.

"It wasn't obvious," Roan protested. "And I guess I will, but I don't know... Wait why am I even talking to you about this? We were fighting two minutes ago." He sat down again huffily and drank his glass of water. He suddenly felt really tired. He had lost blood because of the butterbeer accident too.

"Well, of course you don't have to ask for my advice, but if anyone knows her better than you, it's me. I've known her since the day she was born. My dad told me to be her big brother and to help Mr and Mrs. Lupin out a bit." Alex shrugged. "But, if you don't want help, than that's fine."

"Sorry Alex, I'm just not used to being stressed. What-what does Andi think?" He took another sip of water, not sure of too much at the moment. He was kinda of confused, he was tired, he was in a general bad mood. The fact his friend was lying nearby unconcious a few feet away didn't really help either.

"Well, right now. I suppose she isn't thinking all that much. Hopefully it's a deep sleep with happy thoughts, if any." Alex nodded. "But, about you? Well, she hasn't really said anything about it to me. She doesn't much talk to me about guys.. I guess she'd rather do that with a girl. Not that she really has one.. An older sister or something."

Roan laughed, something he hadn't done since they had fallen on all the butterbeer glasses. It felt good. "Well, you're right I suppose. But what's this dance for anyways?" He asked. He twirled his glass between his fingers, enjoing the small water droplets that splashed on his face.

"Ah, it's a welcome back type dance. I think it's for Halloween as well, maybe with costumes or whatever. Honestly, I don't see the point in dressing up, but whatever." Alex shrugged. "Not sure if I'm going though.. maybe just to keep things under control or whatever. They do need some help I'm sure."

"Eh, costumes can be fun, if you know what to do with them," he chuckled, remembering the halloween he had made his family think there was some deranged goblin in the house. "Ya know Alex, you should try scaring someone every one in a while. It's rather fun. And besides, dances aren't supposed to be under control." He rolled his eyes. He didn't think Alex ever unwinded.

"Well, we can't have it totally wild. What if someone got hurt? There is reason behind my.. stuffyness. That's one of the many words Andi has used to describe me.. I just don't want anyone to be injured or anything I guess." Alex laughed a bit.

Roan scoffed. "Someone get hurt? People get hurt every day by just walking. You being there won't changed much just cuz you're Head Boy." Wild was better anyways. Much more entertaining. Roan rested his head against one of the pillows. At least Madame Pomfrey wasn't here any more. He felt like relaxing a bit.

Alex shrugged. "Well, you're too much of a troublemaker to understand I suppose. I guess rules are my thing.. and the only people that ever get hurt from walking are you and Andi. Don't even try to argue that one.. Who else could get themselves almost killed from just walking?" A grin formed on Alex's face as he realized how utterly hopeless his plight to protect Andi was. She's her mother's daughter..

"Ouch. You got me there. Well at the very least it proves me right. For once we weren't even doing anything wrong." Roan turned over and looked at Andi again. It looked like some color was returning to her cheeks. "Well at least Andi is looking a bit better."

"Yeah, for once. Most of the time you guys are up to something though. It's a tough job trying to keep you to in line." Alex laughed. He looked over at Andi, the color slightly returning to her face. "Yeah, a little bit better. How bad was she before?"
