Andi groaned as Roan helped her through the door. Her face was pale from the loss of blood and her eyes were nearly translucent. Her eyes changed to a pale translucent shade when she was in extreme pain. Her hair was rapidly switching between colors as she switched from pain, to anger with Roan for bringing her to the Hospital Wing. She was there enough with her werewolf issues and didn't want to be there any more.
Madame Pomfrey rushed into the room her eyes widening in shock as she saw the blood flowing. She looked over them and saw that it was Andi and Roan. She sighed and motioned them into the ward. She waited for Roan to set Andi down with a stern expression on her face. "What have you done this time?"

"Nothing ma'am," Roan said innocently, "We just dropped a few glasses." He hoped she would just accept it and help them. Andi wasn't looking the best, and he was feeling fairly bad himself. "But Andi got a big piece of glass stuck in her hand, and I got a bunch of little ones in me. You can help right?" He tried to look really helpless and needy.

Madame Pomfrey shook her head in disbelief at the two. "Of course I'll help you, but I expect a full explination afterwards." She placed Andi onto a chair and quickly worked some magic with her wand. The shard dissapeared from Andi's hand and the blood started to flow even quicker than before. A worried look crossed Madame Pomfrey's face and she casrt a few more spells. The bleeding stopped, but Andi still looked terrible. "There's nothing more I can do for her..." She turned to Roan and with a few quick spells the shards were gone and the tiny cuts were healed. "Now, explain."

Roan smiled sheepishly. "Well we were carrying some butterbeer from my bag to the common room," he said, deciding not to lie too much, since the evidence was all over the floor, "And we collided, and we fell directly on top of them. That's it, and I had to basically carry her up here." He peered over Madame Pomfrey's shoulder. "She's going to be fine right? She doesn't look too good."

"Well, you should be more careful. Accidents ike that could cost you your lives. She could have died if you hadn't come here." Madame Pomfrey gave him a stern look, warning him not to do anything reckless. "She.. well, hopefully she'll be okay. There's no guarantee." She looked over Andi with a worried expression. Andi had passed out when she started the spellwork and probably wouldn't awaken for some time.

Roan gave another worried glance toward his friend. He didn't think he could really handle it if his best friend had died. "Umm it's alright if I stay here till she gets up right? I won't cause any trouble." This was all his fault... if he hadn't gone for the butterbeers, she'd be fine, and not badly hurt.

Madame Pomfrey considered it for a moment. "I don't think it's such a good idea. It would be best if she had family around her. A brother or sister would do her good, but at least she has her father. Go find someone else, somone responisble, that can stay by her." Madame Pomfrey brushed him away.

Roan stared indignantly at Madame Pomfrey. "I can be responsible at times!" He said. Well he could on occasion. And besides, he didn't want to get Professor Lupin involved. They would get into even more trouble. It was bad enough that Andi was hurt. "Please can I stay? I swear I'll be quiet and responsible."

"No, go find someone. Anyone that can help her but you. I don't care who, just go find someone." Madame Pomfrey was fuming. "Just make sure they haven't gotten in trouble today.. unlike you.." Madame Pomfrey had a grudge against the two for the many people they sent her way.

"No way! Andi is my best friend! No way I'm leaving her." He said stubbornly. He definitly wasn't going to budge an inch now. He plopped himself onto the bed next to Andi and stared up at Madame Pomfrey defiantly, daring her to do anything about it. He shot a quick glance at Andi, wondering how she was doing.

"I am not dealing with this right now. If you want her to get better you will follow my instructions to a tee. If you don't you could lose your friend and your bed here at Hogwarts." Madame Pomfrey threatened him. She could be very cruel if she wanted to be, especially when it came to patients that were as bad off as Andi.

"You are dealing with this right now, because I'm right here. And I know I wont lose my friend unless you stop helping her, and you wouldn't do that. And I don't care about my bed at Hogwarts! Take it if you want. I'm staying with my friend." He stared back at Madame Pomfrey without flinching. He suddenly broke eye contact and turned around, watching Andi for any sign of movement, completely ignoring Madame Pomfrey. He looked worryingly at her face, not liking how pale she still looked.

"You will leave this instant or else serious consequences will follow. There is a very strict policy on the Hospital Wing and I will enforce rules if you do not get out of here now." Madame Pomfrey was red with anger. She went over and grabbed him by the shirt leading him out the door. "Now, do something useful. Go find someone. If you can do that without a hassle I might let you stay."

Roan burst out of the Hospital Wing, running as fast as he could. He needed someone slightly responsibe... slightly responible. He jumped down the flight of stairs and ran for the library, skidding into it in a slide of dust. He glanced hurridly around the library, looking for anyone responsible.

Alex sighed and tapped his quill on the table. It was late yes, but he was determined to finish reading the lesson in his book. He hadn't fully understood the topic last year, so he was getting a head start on some notes.
