Melanie grinned as they reached the Hospital Wing, Allie would be fine. She called out for Madame Pomfrey and magicked Allie down onto a bed. Madame Pomfrey came in and bustled about, giving Allie various medicines and casting spells. "I'm sure Hufflepuff can take them. The team isn't so tough, though that Malfoy girl scares me a bit."

Amity shrugged. "Meh. WE can take her and her team down." she scoffed. Then she stuck her hand out. "'Scuse me, I didn't introduce myself. I'm Amity Laurens, Hufflepuff, 6th year. I play beater on my Quidditch team." she said. She smiled in that friendly way. What was wrong with having friends in other houses? Nothing, that's what. Sure, it got competitive, but hey, it was friendly competition. Then, if your friend wins, you can still feel happy.

Melanie shook her hand. "I'm.. Melanie Griffith. Gryffindor. 6th year." She was a bit surprised that Amity didn't know who she was, but definately glad. "I don't play Quidditch, but I'm a fan. I do a lot with music though." Melanie loved to watch Quidditch, and by all means she could play. She played a lot in just pick-up games back home, and she was really good. She never joined the house team though, her music consumed her life.

"Wow. Cool." Amity said. "I love music. I used to know the drums. Rumpity-tum-tum." she rapped the air with pretend drumsticks. She still tapped beats on her papers when she was stuck, or tapped her leg or something. It helped her remember things, and destress her. She usually tapped the beat to a song she had made, Victory, on her drums, before a Quidditch match.

"That's cool. I'm more a guitar player slash singer. Works well for me." Melanie shrugged. She loved what she did, and she wouldn't give it up for the world. Music was the only thing that came naturally to her, everything else she had to work ten times as hard just to be half as good. "Think she'll be okay?" She asked nodding over at Allie.

Amity nodded. "Madame Pomfrey can fix anything. Once, I cracked my knee cap playing Quidditch. She fixed it up in no time at all. And Allie's tough, I think it just scared her mostly." she said. Besides, Allie hadn't stopped breathing yet, all it would take to fix her would be to drain the water out of her lungs.

"Mm, yeah. I don't really end up here much, mostly becasue I don't play many sports. I play some pick up Quidditch games now and again, but my career is time consuming." Melanie shrugged. She missed playing Quidditch, but she loved music more than anything else. She leaned up against the wall, patiently waiting for Madame Pomfey to finish her work.

Amity shrugged. "Neither am I, but that's because of that I do on the Quidditch team. When you work fighting off Bludgers all the time, you gwt tougher than a Seeker or a Chaser." she said, nodding. She was tough, probably tougher than Beaters on other teams, because of how she practiced constantly. When it wasn't a Quidditch practice, it was still flying training.
