"Oh really?" he replied, a smile plastered to his face now. "But you're right-Blair is good looking, she's outgoing, and she's a Slytherin...why a sudden change of mind?" he asked.
Jackie nodded, "Ohh, well lets hope he doesn't find out about your wild ride." she said quietly as she watched the first years walk in. "Hopefully there's a good quidditch player over there who will get into Gryffindor."
"Yeah, sure. Anytime." he replied.

"Well, she's not good enough. You want to find the best don't you? Plus, she's a total wannabe. She'd never pass as a true Slytherin." Jessica looked over trying to find Blair. He couldn't like her could he?
"Yeah, if he finds out... who knows how long I'll be in detention." Andi shuddered. She looked over sizing up the first years. "They don't look all that tough."
"Thanks Milo. If you ever need any help in any other subject, I'm pretty good at them." Starla nodded.

"Jessica," Blair said as she sat down across the table from the queen bee, "I erm- missed you, it's certainly been a long summer, hasn't it?" She said through a strained but not obviously forced smile. "Hi, Dalton," her smile quickly changed, "good summer?"

"Yeah, everyone wants the best. So now you're saying I should go out with you right?" he said. He knew now that she did, but he was just playing around. He looked up at the sound of another voice and smiled. "Hey Blair, hows it goin?" he asked.
"Hmm, maybe they'll toughen up." she mumbled, taking a sip of her pumpkin juice.
"Okay, I just might take you up on that." he replied, looking around the Great Hall. "Did you do anything else this summer?"

"Something like that." she muttered as Blair came up. "Blair darling. So wonderful of you to join us. Have a nice summer I hope?" Jessica put on her fake happy voice.
"I hope so. One of them might have to take over for me one day. They need to work on getting.. better." Andi nodded.
"Nothing exciting really. Mostly just stayed around the house. My mom works a lot and I'm always on my own. I read a lot. Finished all of my textbooks for this year." Starla shrugged. "How about you? Anything exciting happen?"

"Only the best," She smiled, "Of course, I don't believe in settling for anything but." She smiled at Dalton and gave Jessica her best 'beat-that' facial.

Dalton nodded and glanced at them both with bright eyes. "Well thats good...." he replied and picked up his goblet, swirling the orange liquid inside of it. "You look good tonight." he added.
"Yeah, me too. I'll have to start training another seeker soon." she said.
"You read all of the textbooks already? I only skimmed them. I had sort of a quiet summer too. We went to several cities in Europe to visit, but thats it." he replied.

Is that the best you've got? she thought, also picking up her glass and taking a large sip. "Aww, thank you Dalton, you're too sweet," She smiled, taking her foot and 'accidentally' gently hitting the inside of Dalton's calve, right where Jessica couldn't see it. She took a long swig of her pumpkin juice, smiling in spite of herself.

Jessica frowned as she looked over at Blair. "Blair, would you mind going and asking the people down there if they've seen Anthony? I needed to ask him something..." Jessica smiled sweetly.
"Yeah, it'll be hard to find someone as good as you. Our whole team is great..." Andi smiled.
"Yeah, I don't really get to go anywhere. It's okay though, I don't really mind." Starla shrugged. "Is Europe nice? I've never been."

Dalton looked up from his cup and studied Blair's expression. He was pretty sure it wasn't an accident and the corner of his mouth gave a small twitch that formed somewhat of a smile and somewhat of a smirk. "What do you want Anthony for?" he asked, turning back to Jessica.
"I'll miss our team. We work well together." she said and thought about the future. She wanted to play pro, but she promised her dead mother that she would become an auror as well.
"Yeah, its nice. The muggles dress very stylish." he said with a grin.

"We had some.. buisiness over the summer. I'd like to know if he got what he was looking for." Jessica shrugged. "Plus, I don't want her around." She added under her breath so just Dalton could hear her.
"Yeah, too bad not all of us are going pro. We'd be on top of the pro leagues for sure." Andi grinned. "You really should consider it, you're good enough."
"Yeah, Muggle Studies would be a cool class to take. They're really interesting things." Starla nodded. "I'd love to take a trip around the world to see what they're like."

"Of course, sweetie," Blair added this last word with great effort, "I'll ask a few fifth years." She climbed gracefully off of the bench and walked towards the fifth years at the end of the table.

Dalton watched her go and swung his leg over the bench so he was facing her instead of the table. He smiled and swiveled his head around to watch the retreating Blair, "How long do you think she'll be gone for?" he asked.
"I'm considering...are you definately going pro?" she asked.
"Muggle studies could be interesting I guess. I think I'd rather skip the class though..."

"Hopefully for the rest of the feast, but I doubt we'll be that lucky." Jessica chuckled. "It'll take her a good ten minutes to track him down though. He's certainly elusive."
"Yeah, I have to." Andi shrugged. "What else could I possibly do without.. complications?" There weren't many jobs she could get with her werewolf issue to worry about. Quidditch games were always during the day, so she'd never have to worry about a game being during the night of a full moon.
"Yeah, you get to see them though. I've always been either here or in my house. No real interaction with the muggle world." Starla sighed. "It's not too bad though."

Dalton nodded and took her hand. "I was hoping you'd say yourself when I asked who I'd be good with." he said, somewhat sheepishly, while playing with her fingers.
"Complications...?" she repeated, taking another bite of food.
"You mean you /never/ go anywhere else? Thats got to be horrible. No vacations, or trips?" he asked, taking a sip of pumpkin juice.
