The Feast

Jackie walked into the Great Hall with a fellow gryffindor, a grin plastered on her face as they rambled about how great it was to be back. She took a seat next to Andi and Roan and elbowed Andi in the arm. "Looks like you got here safely after an exciting ride." she whispered with a mischevious grin. Jackie immediately picked up a hot roll and buttered it, and barely chewed it before swallowing. "Mmm..." she mumbled dramatically with her eyes closed.

Felix McCoy took a seat at the Professors table next to Minerva McGonagall. "Its good to see you again." he said cheerfully. He took a look around the Great Hall and waved at a few of his old students as they walked by.

Professor McMoon slipped into her seat,clearing her throat and shifting her broach,chosen specially for the occasion.She surveyed the students,pushing her glasses up her nose a ways and smiling gently.
"How great it is to have our little joys back in school to make our lives bright again."She mused gently.

Tony settled down at the end of the Gryffindor table,filling his plate quickly.He surveyed the first years curiously.It always amused him to see which ones he could guess would go where.

Gwenyth found a seat quickly.She scanned the teacher's table for anything diffrent before tuning to look around the great hall.

[Andi Lupin]

Jessica sighed. "Nothing dreadfully exciting really. We went to Europe for a week. Then we spent a month on daddy's friend's island. I got a little bit of a tan I suppose. We had a few parties, I was busy up in my room though. The only time daddy isn't hovering over me is when he's impressing other people. No hot neighbors. Daddy scared away all the decent looking guys.. he was sure they were all out to rape me." She rolled her eyes. "Did you do anything exciting? Meet any girls?"

Andi laughed. "Definitely exciting. We're due for some excitement soon enough." She grinned evilly and looked over at the Slytherin table. "They'll never know what hit them. Have a good summer? Practice a lot?"

Professor Dulcedo hopped up into her chair at the head of the room. "Haven't missed anything have I? Ran a little late getting here. There was a mishap with my owl, had to fix him up."

Starla Lovegood walked into the great Hall with a huge grin on her face. She was finally back home where she belonged. She bounced over to the Ravenclaw table and took a seat at the end, away from everyone else. She might as well enjoy her first meal here free from ridicule.

Alex stormed into the Great Hall and straight to the Gryffindor table. He looked up and down to catch a sight of Andi and Roan. What were they thinking? Skipping out on the train and coming here. They will get in trouble for this one way or another. He turned away, not finding them and sat fuming at the Hufflepuff table.

Dalton glanced around the room for a moment and then turned back to Jessica. "We went to Ireland for a week or two, but that was basically it. And no, no girls. Well at least none that ranked high enough..." he joked as he started to butter a roll.

Jackie grinned, "Practiced loads..."she replied and then looked over at the Slytherin table. "What are you planning now...?"

Milo strode into the Great Hall and walked over to the Ravenclaw table. "Hey! Hows it goin?...Good summer?" he said as he passed by some people, walking down the rows of seats. He spotted Starla and reached into his bag, pulling out the book he borrowed from her over the summer. "Hey Starla. Here's your book."

"Yeah, hard to find anyone as good as me anymore. I'm one of a kind for sure." Jessica grinned. "You really should find yourself a girl. You'd be a lot better off. Ireland sounds nice."

"That's good. I was thinking we should start practices tomorrow so we get a head start on the other teams. I can't lose to the other teams. My first year as captain, I have to win the cup.." Andi chattered animately. "Oh, it was all Roan really. Should be fun though.."

"Oh. Hello Milo. Thank you. Did you enjoy it?" Starla asked in a misty voice. "Have a good summer?"

Dalton raised a brow and played around with his juice. "Yeah, one of kind. And better off how? How could I possibly get any better?" he joked.

Jackie nodded. "Yeah, I'm up for practice. and don't worry, we'll definately win the cup. The other teams don't have a chance..."

Milo nodded with a bright smile. "Yeah. I read it twice, it was great. And my summer was okay, nothing too exciting. How about you?" he asked, taking a seat across from her.

"Oh, very true. Just perfect aren't you?" Jessica rolled her eyes. He is pretty great.. and he's a Slytherin. Pureblood too. "Really though, you should."

"Yeah, we do have a pretty good team so far. Of course there's always room for improvement. Roan needs to work harder as well. I can still get the Quaffle past him whenever I try. I need some practice too, I think Alex blocked me once last time we played. You're doing good I hope. We'll see tomorrow, unless I can get to the pitch tonight. A midnight practice would be fun." Andi rambled on.

"Oh, same as always. I stayed around the house and read books. I did get to go looking for nargles for a week with my uncle. That was exciting. We didn't find any. Summer just isn't the season to look for them. They're more commonly found in the winter." Starla sighed. "I was really hoping we'd catch one this year."

"Alright, find me a girl you think I should go out with." he said, taking a bite of his roll.

Jackie laughed and shook her head. "I could use some practice. Midnight's fine with me, thats my finest hour of the day." she said, rolling her eyes jokingly. It would be hard to get her out of bed at midnight, unless she hasn't already gone to bed.

Milo nodded, but wasn't sure if he understood her dissapointment. "Maybe you can get one this winter..." he said with a shrug.

"Hm, well what do you like in a girl? I don't want to find someone you'd totally hate, that would be a waste of time." Jessica shrugged.


"Yeah, it's always a good time to practice. I'll be sure to get you up when it's time. We can fly out the window in our dorm. No one will know.. hopefully." Andi grinned. "Close to the full moon though..."

"Yeah, there's always another chance. They won't be dissapearing anytime soon." Starla nodded. "It's great to be back here. I missed Hogwarts."

"Hmm. Well, she has to be good looking, outgoing-I don't like shy girls, and they have to be a Slytherin." he replied, glancing at her. He couldn't help but think that his idea of a perfect girl would be her.

"And if they do find out, I'm sure you and Roan have plenty of ways to handle them." she said as she started to pile food onto her plate. Almost everyone was in the Great Hall now, and the feast appeared on the tables.

"Yeah, I'm so ready to be back. What classes ware you taking?" he asked, putting food onto a plate.

"Hmm, I can think of one or two girls." Jessica smiled. Me? I certainly meet those requirements.

"Of course. We have to have a back up plan just in case. Well, usually anyway." Andi grinned. She piled the food onto her plate vigorously and began shoving piles of meat into her mouth, barely chewing the bleeding meat. "Got to love meat."

"I'm taking Divination, Charms, Care of Magical Creatures, Potions, and Defence Against the Dark Arts." Starla smiled. "What about you?"

Dalton thought for a moment about the girls in Slytherin, "Yeah? Well then, who?" he inquired, watching the people around them. He saw a fellow Slytherin looking as if he were about to throw up, and when he did, Dalton cringed, putting his roll down. He had only taken a bite, but he wasn't hungry much anymore.

Jackie watched Andi but didn't say anything. Full moon? Loves rare meat? She didn't want to jump to conclusions, but the thought stayed in the back of her mind as she ate.

Milo nodded. "I'm taking all of those, but instead of Divination, I'm taking Transfiguration. I'm not much of a dreamer or tea leave reader." he replied with a faint smile.

"Well, there's always Blair. She's.. pretty I suppose." Jessica said in a strained voice. "I'm sure there's other worthy Slytherins out there."

Andi swallowed the rest of her meat and grabbed her goblet of pumpkin juice. She downed it quickly and turned back to Jen. "Feasts are my favorite."

"Yeah. I was never good at Transfiguration. Last time I tried to transfigure something things wet horribly wrong. I turned my turtle into some kind of biting seat cushion.." Starla giggled.

Dalton gave a short nod and shifted in his seat. "Blair..." he said, mulling over it. "That might work." he said, galncing at her as he said this. He was hoping she'd nominate herself, but perhaps Blair woudn't be too bad of a choice.

She nodded, her mouth full. After swallowing, she said, "Yeah, they're delish." "How'd the situation with your dad go?" she asked, setting her fork down.

Milo laughed, "Yeah? Well I could help you out if you ever wanted to. Its one of my better classes." he replied.

"Well, Blair's not really that great. She is only second in command. If anyone you should go with the Slytherin Queen." Jessica shrugged. Yeah, like he'd ever consider that. Well, than again how could he turn me down?

"Actually, we kind of skipped out on the train. So, I haven't talked to him just yet." Andi whispered.

"That would be cool. I'm always up for learning something new. If I could get better at it maybe I could take it as an extra class or something." Starla smiled.
