Dalton was crushed and pissed at himself. "Please, Jessica I know I messed up." he mumbled. How could he fall for one night with Blair? It felt wrong then, but now it feels ten times worse. It seemed as if everything was just now sinking in. Even if he were Jessica, he probably wouldn't forgive himself. "I, uh, don't know what else to say besides sorry..." he said weakly, "But I do love you. Maybe I didn't realize that Thursday, but I do now." he said, not knowing if that would help things, or worsen them.

"Yes. You messed up a lot." Jessica grumbled. She knew she'd take Dalton back, even after this.. even though he'd hurt her more than anyone ever had. She couldn't help but forgive him, though she would never forget. "I.. Fine. But, you better make it up to me." Jessica bit her lip, a bit unsure of her decision. Maybe he was lying just to appease her, maybe she was making a mistake. But, life is full of mistakes, you just have to learn from them a move on.

A shakey sigh escaped him. "I'll do whatever you want. Just ask." said Dalton, relieved beyond belief. He replayed her words a couple times in his head, so he knew he heard right. She was forgiving him. Impossible. But okay. He got to his feet and walked around the bed, trying to get any excess nerves out of him. "Sorry-again." he said, walking back to the bed, ready to face her without worrying about hiding anymore secrets.

"Don't expect me to forgive you again. No more Blair. Unless you are killing her in her sleep, no more Blair." Jessica said, smiling at the thought. "No, I take that back. I'd rather do it myself." Jessica chuckled to herself, picturing exactly how she would kill Blair. She'd hang her from the celing with her own thong. "Make it up to me however you'd like.. I can't say that I want anything. I've got all that I want now."

Dalton laughed with a nod. "I am officailly anti-Blair. I swear...like my hair?" he said, sounding stupid with his rhymes. He was glad the previous tensions were gone and celebrated by leaning in to kiss Jessica. "I love your lips," he said, searching her eyes with his emerald green ones. "So, you wanna stay up here or go downstairs?" he asked, playing with his shirt in his hands, waiting for her answer so he'll know whether to put it on or not.

"Quite the poet Dalton." Jessica said, rolling her eyes. As he leaned in, Jessica stopped, still unsure about everything, but she didn't back away. She thought for a moment of where she would rather be, here alone with Dalton or downstairs where anyone could pop in. "I like it up here, odds are she's down there anyways..." Jessica frowned at the thought of Blair and brought back images of her demise to cheer her up. "Is it terrible that to cheer myself up.. I picture Blair's death?"

"I try.." he replied with a smile. Dalton backed away a bit, unsure if she still wanted time. "Um, well I guess we all have different ways to cheer up. Blair's death is..odd.." he said, fishing for a word to desribe it. "Maybe a little extreme, but then again reasonable?" Well, maybe it was reasonable to Jessica...Dalton rest his back on his headboard and looked at his hands. "What ever made you guys come to hate eachother so much. Weren't you friends in the beginning?" he inquired, looking back up to her.

Jessica sighed, knowing he was right. She shouldn't hate Blair as much as she did, but Blair really was the one that started it. "You're right, it's... a bit extreme." Jessica curled up next to Dalton, her head resting on his chest. "Really, it's a bit silly, but I guess I can understand it. We used to be the best of friends, always together since our fathers were always doing business together and such. We were never apart really.. We spent most of our time at Malfoy Manor with our mother's, since our dad's were out doing.. their work. Then, one day they ran into a.. complication. My father ran off when trouble came, to make sure that we were okay. Her father stayed behind to deal with the problem. Then our father's got into a spat. Mr. Zabini was convinced that my father left him there to die, and that my dad was a coward. He didn't know at the time that he was just coming back to check on the families.. He was about to go back and help when Mr. Zabini apparated to us. He told his wife to leave, and snatched Blair out of my room. At first we were still on good terms, but... we both grew up to be daddy's little girl, which meant we couldn't be friends anymore." Jessica had never told anyone the story of what had happened between her and Blair, it still bothered her sometimes... she missed having a friend like Blair.

Dalton listened and when she finsihed, he didn't say anything for awhile. He wasn't expecting anything like that. Maybe a disagreement on something, jealousy, or whatever else. "Hmm." he mumbled, stroking her hair. "That sounds like a sad way to break up. Have you ever tried to talk about it with her before?" He was almost sure the answer was going to be a 'No, duh Dalton' kind of answer, but he couldn't grasp the idea of losing a best friend because one day they just decided to hate eachother for their father's sake. But I guess they loved their dad's more than Dalton ever would. If he had a situation like that, he'd become best friends with the other person just to get on his father's nerves.

"Not really. We had a few confused, hushed talks when our father's weren't looking at different parties... but, eventually we just stopped talking altogether." Jessica shrugged, trying to play it off as though she didn't care. If anyone knew that she still missed Blair, word would travel and Blair would take it to heart and make her life a living hell. "I guess.. I'm over it now though. We've come to an.. agreement to hate each other I suppose." Jessica was trying to cover the lie well, but her eyes told a completely different story. Her eyes were full of the pain that she never expressed.

Dalton nodded, wondering if she was really over it. Blair and Jess did everything they could to make the other's life more miserable at Hogwarts. Was it possible they might ever regret doing what they do right after they do it? Dalton shook his head to himself, almost brushing the idea away. When his head turned slightly, though, he caught a glimpse of Jessica out of the corner of his eye. Her eyes seemed a bit more misty looking than normal. He didn't say anything, but now he was more sure than ever that at least Jessica wasn't all for the hateing eachother plan.
Dalton wrapped his arms around her, light and firm at the same time. "Speaking of dads, I saw yours at the Ministry today.."

Jessica smiled, welcoming the change of subject. Talking about Blair was always hard, especially in this context. "Really? What he doing there? He was here in Hogsmeade earlier as well.. He's such a busy man." Jessica wasn't surprised to hear it, her father was always up and about with business and parties and the like, and Jessica loved the lifestyle. She was following directly in her father's footsteps, destined to live her life just as he had.

Dalton shrugged, "I don't really know why he was there. We only talked for a moment or so. But he mentioned he met you at Hogsmeade and gave you an assignment." he replied, watching a smile curl at her lips as a result of her dad being their new subject. "You must be excited, he said you were eager to get more involved nowadays."

"Definately. I mean, this is my last year here... and that's where my future is, so the more involved I get now the higher up I'll be when the time comes to fully take on the job." Jessica shrugged. She hadn't really thought about it until now, she was happy living in her perfect world here at Hogwarts. "He wants me to sneak into the Headmistress's office and steal all of the Defence Against the Dark Arts plans. I guess they want to know what the kids will be prepared to face when the time comes,"
