Jessica tucked her CParch into her bag and looked about her dorm room for something to wear. She settled for a pair of jean shorts that were certainly short enough to be banned at Hogwarts, and green and silver striped cami. Happy with her hair as it was, she grabbed her Potions essay and bounded down the stairs. Hardly anyone gave her a second look as she walked up the stairs to the boy's dorm. She heard a few of the students taking a bet on which bed she would be in tonight and rolled her eyes. It wasn't like that yet, she was just helping Dalton with.. homework. She chuckled lightly at the thought as she entered Dalton's dorm room. Her eyes glanced around, looking for Dalton. He was facing away from the door, so she hopped on his bed and covered his eyes with her hands, leaving the essay next to her on the bed. "Guess who?"

Dalton knew Jessica was coming soon, so he dabbed on some cologn and changed. He slipped out of his robes and pulled on a pair of jeans. While sifting through his trunk for a t-shirt, he decided he'll just keep it there. He figured working out the way muggles did would come to use sometime. Dalton heard footsteps appraoching, but was surprised by the thump on his bed and hands covering his eyes. "Guess who? Hmm, small, soft hands..definately a girl. And well the only female i was expecting was Miss Malfoy." he replied. Dalton took her hands away from his face and turned around. "Hey look at that, I was right." He was temtped to kiss her, or just stare. The shorts made it hard to contain himself, but he eventually did. "Thats a long essay..." he said looking at it.

"Well, I'm glad to hear that I'm the only girl you're expecting. I don't handle jealousy very well." Jessica added. Jessica gave him a quick apologetic hug when he saw the essay. "I write a lot I guess. Well, the Ravenclaw boy did anyways." By the way, you smell really good." Jessica suddenly felt self-concious. She'd put on perfume, but not her really expensive kind. Jessica shifted so she was sitting a little further from Dalton, hoping he wouldn't notice. "So, you ready to get started?"

"Of course you're the only girl.." he said. He hoped the cornyness would cover up some of the uncertainty about something in his voice. He pushed the thought away. "You smell good too." Dalton watched her move away with longing eyes, but then returned to looking at the paper. "Yep, I'm ready." he answered, taking out his own quill and parchment. "So..what were we suppose to write about?"

Jessica looked up at him with a smile. "You really think I smell good? This isn't my good perfume.. I was in a hurry. Sorry. I should have calmed down and gotten ready properly. Probably not even dressed well.. " She bit her lip nervously. She wasn't sure why she was having a sudden panic attack over her looks, this never happened to Jessica. Jessica Malfoy always looked good, and she always knew it, until now. Jessica shook the thoughts and focused on helping Dalton so she could get out of there and calm herself. "Uhm, we were writing about the use of Wartroot in potions."

A smile peeked its way through Dalton's lips as Jessica rambled about her appearence. "Nervous, are you? Well you look and smell perfect." he complemented, his eyes running up and down her figure. "Wartroot huh? Fascinating." he said, scribbling down a heading on his parchment. He stared down at his paper and went to dip his quill in the ink, which sat next to Jessica. Since he wasn't looking though, his hand ran into her thigh. He looked up and lifted a brow. "Oops." he mumbled. Some ink from his quill was dabbed onto her leg. He started to wipe it away with his thumb. "So, how should I begin....with this essay?"

Jessica smiled and calmed down a bit when Dalton assured her that she looked fine. "Yeah, wartroot must be the most fascinating subject we could possibly write two rolls of parchment about." Jessica looked over at him writing the title on his paper, hardly paying attention to the ink bottle. "Oh!" She gasped, startled when the cold ink fell onto her thigh. Her face started to turn red when Dalton wiped away the ink. "Uh. Right.. Essay." She muttered, trying not to show that she was embarrased. "Start uh, with a thesis."

"Two whole rolls? Really? That's rediculous." he said, shaking his head. "Okay-thesis sounds like a good start." he replied. Dalton placed his quill in the ink jar this time and returned to the essay. His hand moved swiftly along the parchment. After a couple minutes of silence between the two of them, a paragraph emerged on the beige-colored material. He looked up to her and smiled. It felt kind of awkward to sit there in silence with her watching him. "So, um, now what?" he asked. He'll have to slap himself later for being such a dork. Usually he's easy-going and very smooth with the females. But now he was quiet and kind of formal.

"Yeah, two rolls is a lot. At least wartroot is used in a lot of things." Jessica shrugged. The silence quickly returned as she watched Dalton write his first paragraph. She was reading over his shoulder, and saw that it was following along the lines of her essay. "Uhm, next you write about whatever your first point is. Er, about the uses of wartroot in healing potions.." Jessica answered looking over his essay again. "So uh, yeah." Jessica mumbled awkwardly.

He nodded and wrote down another five sentences, then swiveled his head around. Since she was leaning over his shoulder, their faces were close and he smiled. When things weren't going as smooth as they should be, it was always his instinct to kiss the person, unless if it was a guy, of course. So thats what he did. Just a peck though. "Okay, healing potions is done. I'm going to shorten mine. I think I can afford a harsher grade than normal for a day." he said, finding it harder to concentrate. The feeling now started to overwhlem him and he couldn't help but take out his cheat quill and put it to work to do the essay for him. Of course he had to take the risk of his essay making no sense, but Oh well he thought, looking back to Jess.

Jessica smiled and left her chin resting on Dalton's shoulder. "Mm, short is good. More time to do something else." Jessica mumbled. She didn't want Dalton to fail his essay, but she couldn't take much more about wartroot. Jessica watched him take out his cheat quill warily. They worked sometimes, but most of the time they ended up making your essay a mess of jumbled words. "You sure you want to use one of those?" she asked him as she leaned back, and laid her head on his pillows.

Dalton watched the quill scribble away and then turned back to Jessica. Watching her lay there was enough to stop him worrying about essays. "I'm sure." he replied, laying down next to her. He was about to lean over and kiss her, but a feeling resembling deja vu came over him. He started getting that nervous feeling again and things like secrets, honesty, lies, and apology broke into his thoughts. "I shagged Blair Thursday night!" he blurted, out of breath. It was Saturday, and this thought had been guiltily eating at Dalton ever since he committed the crime he knew Jessica would hate.

It took Jessica a few moments to realize what he had said. Dalton.. and Blair. But.. "I see. So, is that what I am now? Just another girl to add to your list of shags?" Jessica's tone was icy. She curled up in a ball, as far away from Dalton as she could get. She wanted to leave, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. She wanted to know why; why Dalton would want her, why he wouldn't tell her before asking her, why Blair was such a bitch... Jessica held back her tears, hoping to leave before they started to pour out.

"No! You're nothing like Blair. I-I don't know why I did it." he replied, his mind racing. "God, I'm an idiot. Please forgive me. I wanted to tell you so you wouldn't find out from her. I shouldn't have gotten involved with her that way. She seduced me and I fell for it." he tried to say everything he had to say as quickly as he could so she wouldn't run out without hearing it. Dalton placed a hand on her shoulder and tried to get her to face him. "I'm sorry..."

Jessica sat quietly, calmly, for a few moments, trying to think of what to say. All she could think was, That bitch.. She'll pay. "You... you know how I feel about Blair and.. I don't know if I can forgive you for it. If it was anyone but her... anyone Dalton." Jessica whispered, for fear that her voice would crack and reveal the tears that were ready to fall. She lightly brushed his hand off her shoulder. "I can't do this Dalton. I actually had feelings for you.. Apparantly they were one sided."
