"What?! Thats so not going to happen Alex Wood!" she said, springing to her feet. "You can't quit-you love quidditch, and you have more talent than anyone in this school. Just talk to your dad, he'll listen, I know he will." Kendall walked over to him now, forgetting about her earlier frustration at him. She sat down next to him and slapped him lightly on the cheek.

Alex pulled back playfully. "I know, I do love Quidditch.. I just can't take him any longer. He is a great father.. well. He's a great guy, not much of a father. He's really just my Quidditch coach." Alex shrugged. "I suppose he'd try to listen, but he's kind of hard headed.. and he has a temper for sure. He'd kill me before I could finish my first few sentances."

"Thats no reason to quit a thing you love. Just have a heart to heart talk and convince him to let his coaching guard down a little and his father one up. I know you can if you try-you're good at convincing people to do things." she replied.

"Yeah, you're right. I'll send him an owl when I get around to it. He'll hopefully just lay off the Quidditch tips for a few hours.." Alex chuckled. "They are helpful though. Most of my plays are based around his advice."

Kendall smiled and let out a deep breath, "Jeez Alex, you better never bring up quitting quidditch again-I almost had a heaart attack." she replied, punching him playfully on the arm. "Yeah, but just remember you're a great captain without his plays too."

"Yeah, what would we do without our gorgeous Captain out there? You get detention too often to schedule practices anyways." Alex stuck his tounge out at her. "Yeah, they do help though."

"Without you, we'd all die sitting right on our brooms becuase we'd just be so dumbfounded as to what we should do. And I'd be watching them all die from McGonagall's window in detention. And then after everyone vanished, I'd be sitting there all alone thinking: Gosh I really miss our super hot captain. And I'd think about it too hard...so I'd die too!" she said, trying to keep a straight face. She never knew why, but it was her thing to make up these ridiculuous and random stories. "Thats what we'd do without you."

"Sounds about right. Then, one day I'll be a famous Quidditch player and I'll come back here and go up to Old McGonagall's office. There, I'll find you dead on the floor and wonder what happened. Then, my super hotness will bring you back to life." Alex nodded.

She shrugged with a small nod. "Of course!" Kendall exclaimed with a grin. She ran a thoughtful hand through her hair and then shook her head. "We'd have to bring the rest of the team back to life too, because a two-person team wouldn't work out too well-even though we are totally awesome."

"Yeah, I guess we might need them too. Even if we are that amazing. It could work though.. I could block anything that comes my way and you catch the snitch before the other team. We'd win, it wold be amazing." Alex grinned. "It is a lot more exciting with more people though."

Kendall laughed and nodded, "Much more exciting. Plus, if only you and I were on the team, what other guys could I scope out? It would just be you..and everyone knows that can get boring." she joked and then shook her head with a puppy face look. "I'm just kidding."

"Haha, you know you could never get tired of this face. It's more than enough enough to scope out." Alex struck a pose. "Absolutely gawjuss! You'd never get bored." He grinned over at her with a gleam in his eyes.

Kendall smiled back and chuckled a bit. "Ah, I was wrong. How could I ever get bored? But you know whats better than that gawjuss face?" she replied, throwing her hair back and striking her own pose. "This one of course." she answered.

"Oh my. I could never measure up to that if I tried. Maybe it's a good idea to keep getting detention, you're a distraction to the rest of the team. How am I supposed to pay attention to the Quaffle when you're flying around?" He said dramatically.

She smiled sheepishly, "Oh shut up. I'd rather not be in detention if you don't mind." Kendall said, looking at her hands and then back up to him. As she was about to say something, a golden owl was coming at full speed toward the closed window. She recognized it to be her one year old owl named Ginger. "Oh my gosh..." she said, jumping up and opening the window just in time. Ginger was making a racket and shaking her head all over the place. When the letter and a small box finally came loose, she gave her a small treat and let her leave.
Kendall,
How's school, honey? You're father and I miss you lots. Mr. Weasley was telling us about the Welcome Back dance, so we sent you a gift. I hope you like it, and we'll write more next week. Have fun, and stay out of trouble!!
Lots of love, Mom.
Kendall opened the box and out came an outfit that looked as if it couldn't have fit into the box, but of course ther was a charm or something on it. "A dance...?" she said aloud, looking to Alex with a raised brow. "I never heard about that, did you?" she asked as she examined her costume/dress.
