Sitting Alone

[Ophelia Rose]

"It's okay. I don't mind." Ophelia said, obviously completely lying."I don't need anything. I think I'm going to go see the thestrals. You could come with me if you'd like." Ophelia didn't know if Starla could see the thestrals or not but she thought it would be rather rude to ask, considering why people could see them. Even though it was cold and wet outside Ophelia wouldn't refrain from going. She loved cold anyway.

Starla shrugged. "Sure, let's go. The weather is perfect for them to be out. Plus, the outdoors is calming. I like to read out there when the weather is nice. Sometimes I read out by the Quidditch Pitch so I can watch them practice. I'm terrible at Quidditch myself though.." Starla grabbed a plate of food to bring with her, just in case she got hungry. She also grabbed another plate for Ophelia.

"We could go to the lake. I like it down there." Ophelia said, she was feeling a little better. "Hungry?" Ophelia was laughing now. "Hey, there's your sister."

Addalee ran to Ophelia and Starla "Hi guys!" She said happily. "Where ya goin?" Addalee was quite the tag along, especially with her sister. She didn't have any friends at Hogwarts.

Starla laughed. "No, one's for you just in case. I'm not that big of an eater. The lake would be great, I love the water there." Starla was glad to see that Ophelia was feeling a bit better. Starla held back a sigh when her sister hopped over. She loved Addalee, but it did get tiring having her younger sister around all the time. But, Starla let her, knowing she had just as much trouble finding friends. "Hey Addy, we're going down to the lake, you sure you want to come?" She knew her sister wasn't fond of deep waters, and usually avoided the lake."

[Ophelia Rose]

"I'm not hungry." Ophelia said. She was never hungry, when she was young someone used to have to force her to eat. She wasn't too skinny however.

"Yeah. Of course I'll go, why wouldn't I?" Addie asked. She didn't like other people to know of her fear. Or that she can't swim. It bothered her but whenever she was in water deeper she is completely immobile.

Starla shrugged and gave Addy the other plate. "Whatever suits you. I don't see how you couldn't eat." Starla smiled anxiouly at Addy, but still left the Great Hall with them. "I don't know, I thought you mentioned an essay or something earlier." Starla muttered. Of course, Addy wouldn't want anyone else to know about her fear. Just like Starla wouldn't let people know she was afraid of clowns.

[Ophelia Rose]

"Any one wanna get in?" Ophelia asked. Addalee cringed but simply said, "Not right now." Ophelia stood up. "Let's go to the end of the dock and put our feet in then." Addie gulped and stood up, grabbing Starla's arm. Addie was scared to death right now. She was ready to start crying but refused to.

Starla looked over at Addy apologetically. "Don't worry, I'll be right there with you." She whispered to her younger sister. She let Addy hold onto her arm as they walked over. "So, Ophelia. What's it like over in the Hufflepuff dorms? A lot of them are... kind of crazy. You talk to Aiden Smith at all?" Starla asked nonchalantly. She was pretty sure that no one knew about the brief thing she'd had with Aiden.

"No, I don't talk with any of them. They don't like me, I don't like them." Ophelia said. She looked at Addalee as they got to the end of the dock. Ophelia took her shoes off and put her feet in the water. Addie stood at the very edge of the dock, looking down then looking at Starla. Addie had a very sad expression on her face.

"Oh. I guess I don't blame you." Starla murmured. Her thoughts instantly went back to Aiden and Evangeline and she stopped talking for awhile. She was watching Addy, making sure she didn't fall.

Derrek was watching Starla and the others intently. He couldn't let Starla get away with ditching him at the party. With a well aimed curse, Addy was tipped over the edge.

[Ophelia Rose]

Addie screamed and fell in the water. As soon as she hit the freezing water she didn't move. She was sinking. Ophelia was looking to her right then looked at Starla. "Hey, where'd Addie go?" Ophelia asked. Ophelia spaced out a bit too much. Addie would've tried to stay up but she couldn't move.

"Oh god.." Starla gasped. She instantly jumped into the water, with all of her robes still on. It took her a few seconds to grab Addy and drag her up to the surface. Please be okay Addie.. please. Starla kicked as hard and she could and eventually reached the edge, pulling Addy up with her. "Addy, are you okay?"

[Ophelia Rose]

Addalee coughed up some water. She couldn't talk. If she could answer she'd say no but that was obvious. Her eyes were blood shot and she was pretty much blue. Ophelia scowled at Derreck. "I can't believe you!" She said, ready to get up and tell him off. "She is a little girl. You don't do that to little girls." Truthfully Derreck scared her a bit but she was afraid for Addy's life.

Starla was too concerned with Addy to realize that Derrek was behind it all. She pulled out her wand, and lifted Addy with a spell. "I'm taking her to the hospital wing.." She said briefly to Ophelia. She took off at a run, half holding and half magicking Addy along with her.

Derrek laughed as Ophelia came towards him. "Tell your friend that she can't ditch me at parties. It doesn't work that way. Next time we're halfway to a closet, she's going in with me." He nodded a goodbye to Ophelia and took off towards the forest.

Ophelia ran after him. "No!" Ophelia yelled, lifting her wand "Liftio." She said, lifting him up on the air. "You are a jerk! You don't push a little girl into a freezing lake just becuse her sister wouldn't go in a closet with you!" Ophelia hated yelling at him. Even though he was a Slytherin he liked her. She thought he'd have a girlfriend though so she didn't bother looking at his gorgeous eyes.
