Kendall walked down the corridor, momentarily closing her eyes. Of course in those few moments, a Wheezing Launcher would fly at her and strike her in the forehead. She gave a small yelp and her eyes shot open, just in time to see green and black robes rush around a corner and disappear out of sight. "You call that payback?" she yelled after them, pitying their attempt, although it was painful. She lifted her hand to her head and thats when she realized she was shaking. Kendall slid to the floor and leaned against the cold stone wall. What the hell is wrong with me? She thought to herslef and sighed. Getting detention and unable to go to quidditch, being on shaky terms with Alex, and having Slytherins attack her was not helping her mood.

Alex nodded slightly at Amity as he exited the room. "Where do you think she went?" He asked, in a more quiet tone than usual. He was unsure of where she might be and hoped that she didn't get too far. Alex's eyes jolted up as a Slytherin ran by laughing.
"Haha, doubt your seeker will do any good next match." He sneered. He took off running as he saw the rage building up in Alex's eyes. With a quick wave to Amity he took off running to make sure Kendall was okay. He glanced around the corridors, still unable to find her.
"If they've done anything to hurt her.." He fumed. His head swiveled left and right in search of Kendall and then finally, there she was. She was slumped down on the floor in the corridor next to them. Alex ran over and bent down. "Are you alright? They didn't hurt you did they?"

Kendall straightened as she heard footsteps and looked up at Alex and Amity. She lowered her wand when she saw them and gave the best smile she could muster. "Nah I'm alright, they're horrible when it comes to pranking." she replied, the first joke she made in ages..well at least it felt like forever. However, the large mark on her forehead didn't exactly prove her point of being okay. She felt lightheaded too, and there was some pounding going on in her head, but she ignored it for now. Another reason to not play quidditch would upset her too much right now.
Kendall had momentarily forgot the previous awkwardness between her and Alex, but it now came back to her. She diverted her attention away from his face and focused on both of them. "You two look healed, thats great."

Alex found it hard to smile while Kendall was being so distant from him, but he managed to grin at her comment. He wasn't very into house rivalry, and he'd rather everyone just be friends, but he couldn't help but join in sometimes when his house mates bashed the Slytherins. Alex looked worriedly at Kendall, and not just because of her injury. He was worried more for the sake of their friendship than her forehead. "Kendall, we're.. we're cool right? I'm not mad at you or anything.." He mumbled into her ear, hoping that Amity wouldn't hear their awkward conversation.

Kendall nodded, "Yeah, we're cool. I didn't mean to be so snappy, and I'm not mad at you either." she whispered back, ruffling his hair to show him she was cool with him. It was something she always did to Alex in the older days. "I guess im ready to get off the floor..." she added, getting to her feet. The throbbing increased a bit, but she smiled, happy to be 'back'.

Alex smiled and helped her to her feet. "Good. I was a tad worried about.. us." He looked her over once more, just to make sure there wasn't anything else wrong with her. The Slytherin boy looked fairly ecstatic about whatever it was he had done, and he couldn't risk any more injuries to his team. "Well, how would you like to go get your head checked over?" He asked, a lighter tone to his voice than before. He was unsure how Madame Pomfrey would take seeing Amity and himself in there again in such a short period of time though. "Amity, we should wait outside so Madame Pomfrey doesn't get suspicious."

Amity nodded. She'd remained quiet throught the whole 'reunion' thing, she didn't mind sappy stuff like that, but seh knew that she should probably remain quiet so they could sort things out. "Yea, she'd probably actually go the full mile to get Quidditch banned." she agreed. "But those Slytherins..." she began darkly. "We'll show them when we face 'em in Quidditch! They won't know what hit 'em! Then they'll see what happens when you mess with us!"

Kendall grinned and wrapped her arms around both of them, squeezing herself in the middle. She winked at Alex, "No need to be worried." and began walking toward the Hospital Wing. "They don't have a chance against us Hufflepuffs." she replied, turning to Amity. "I sketched some plays if you guys want to take a look at them...I got rather bored in detention. I think they'll really throw off the slytherins."

Amity looked determined. "Yea! Mess with one of us, all of us are gonna come after you! We'll show them not to mess with Hufflepuff house!"she said, punching the air. Those Slytherins wouldn't know what hit 'em. They'd make a name for Hufflepuff yet! They'd show the Slytherins and anyone else who looked down on Hufflepuff house that they weren't creampuffs!

Alex smiled halfheartedly. "You guys.. we can't go around messing with people. It gives us a bad rep, like the Slytherins..." Alex sighed. He loved his house, but he definately didn't want to cause trouble. Detention made Alex worry more than a normal person should, so he wasn't about to screew himself over. "And, I'll take a look at your plays whenever we have a chance. We need some new tactics to throw them off." Alex, immediately back to his usual self at the mention of Quidditch, got a far off look as he tried to plan something in his mind.

Amity laughed. "Yea, I know. But we can still show 'em up in Quidditch, right?" she said, getting determined again. "After we show 'em what we've got on the Quidditch pitch, they won't want to mess with us!" She felt happy. Really happy. She didn't have very many friends, because she got a little overcompetitive at times. But now she was on the Quidditch team, and now she had friends! She never thought she was lonely, just... solitary. Like, like a tortoise! But she liked having friends. Especially friends as obsessive over Quidditch as herself.

"Oh Alex, we won't do anything to them, we're just pumping ourselves." said Kendall, a smile still plastered on her lips. As they came up to the Wing, she reached into her pocket and grabbed some folded papers. "I guess i better go get this head checked out, see you guys in a couple of minutes." she said. Before she left, she slipped the plays into Alex's pocket.
"My goodness, another child already. You children just don't know how to stay out of dangerous trouble, do you? Sit down dear, sit down. I can see your head throbbing from here, what happened?" Ms. Pomfrey bustled about in her cabinets while talking away about how we need to be more cautious and careful. Kendall sat down and gave one word answers to the nurse, sitting patiently as Mrs. Pomfrey worked on her head. And then she was done, all in a matter of five minutes or so. "Thanks a lot Madame Pomfrey!" she added as she exited with relief.

"Great! You're okay!" Amity said, grinning. "Maybe we could get the team together and practice some plays, so we'll be on top of our game when the next game comes up! It's in a few days, right?" she was so pumped right now. And, to be honest, her Quidditch match schedule had been misplaced in one of her meant-to-be-a-good-thing cleanout sessions. But she did know that their first match was agianst Slytherin. Which, after recent events, made even more pumped.

Alex gave Kendall a skeptical look as she walked into the Hospital Wing. She's not fooling me.. After her current record, who knows what she'll come up with next. He slid the papers out of his pockets and set himself to analyzing the plays. For the most part they were superb, but he had a few minor changes to make to the placement for the chasers, but that could wait until later (when he actually had a quill on him). Alex look over at Amity with a bemused expression. "You haven't lost your schedule have you? Half the team already has...and I put so much work into color coding it so that all of our intelligence lacking teammates could understand it." Alex shook his head in disappointment, he really had put some effort into that little piece of paper. He'd even charmed it to sing the morning of every game so his team would be up early.

"I put it away, I just don't remember where. My sister is a total neat freak and I guess a little bit of her rubbed off on me. So I cleaned. And it got put away... But if it sings I can find it!" she said, putting on what she hoped was a reassuring expression. "Or I could always use this as an opportunity to practice my Accio spell." she added. And it was true, her sister wasa neat freak, it was just that the organized part of her hadn't come with the monthly cleaning spree. "Sorry, I really didn't mean to misplace it Alex! Really and honestly!" she blurted suddenly. She did feel bad about it. It had looked like it had taken forever to fix.
