Delilah watched from the library window as Alex swam around with those... younger girls. "He has so much more class than that," she muttered, tilting her head to the side in thought. "I think I'll go tan." She walked down to her dorm room and grabbed her favorite bathing suit.
She reached her favorite spot on the edge of the lake, a big, smooth rock that the sun hit perfectly. Delilah waited until Alex seemed to be at least looking in her general direction to take off her coverup. She lay down on the rock and closed her eyes. Hopefully Alex would leave those... sixth years, and come running over to her. She smiled at the thought.

Alex reached the side of the lake near Delilah and pulled himself out. It's about time for a break anyways. Alex loped over to sit next to Delilah. " 'Lo Delilah. Out for a tan again? You seem to tan a lot... you're out here just as much as me." Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever been out here without seeing her. She must really like tanning. Alex stretched out on the ground and closed his eyes to shield them from the sun. He opened his eyes briefly to see where Kendall and Amity were, but the sun was too bright so he closed them again quickly.

Delilah rolled over and smiled. "Hi, Peaches." Those younger girls could learn a thing or two from me, she thought. "I love going near the water, but I can't stand the water itself. I'm a little scared of it..." She looked down and tried to blush, hoping Alex would believe her. She loved his attention, and would pretty much do anything to get it. "So I lay out near the lake. It's fun to watch people swim. Especially you, Alex." She smiled again and looked at the two younger girls looking over. Perfect.

"Oh, but what's to be afraid of in the water? Except the giant squid.. But, he's usually not a problem. Had to save Kendall the other day though.." Alex smiled warmly. Alex sat up and shifted to face Delilah. She was really pretty, but she was.. odd. It seemed like.. she stalked him almost. Always popping up in the halls when he was walking, or somehow got the teachers to change seating so she would be closer to him. Alex laughed the thought off, who was he kidding, it was just a coincidence. "Yeah, can't deny that watching me swim is a treat. Should make people pay per view."

Delilah smiled. She loved the way the muscles of his chest and his arms stood out when he leaned on the rock. Of course it was just like him to mention that Potter girl. She had to keep from scowling. "It's just. The whole drowning thing scares me," She blushed, realizing she might have him. "I mean, I can swim, but I don't like swimming alone..." Delilah McLaggen, she thought, You are a genius.

"Well, if you want.. I could stay with you while you swim. I wouldn't let you drown." Alex shrugged. Alex didn't see anything wrong with helping Delilah. They were friends after all. Plus, it was a nice day out and he was itching to get back in the water. He gazed back out at the lake, wishing he was back swimming with Kendall and Amity. "Come on, it'd be fun. Plus, the other girls might start to worry. Best get back over there soon."

She looked at the water, secretly sneaking a glance at the other girls. "Fine," She sighed. "But you have to stay close to me." She smiled and walked with him back to the water. She stuck her toe in, and found out it actually had a nice temperature. "So, are we going to walk in, or jump off the ledge?" She laughed, teasing him.

Kendall glanced around, wandering where Alex went. She saw Delilah and scowled. Great... She was debating on whether or not to go make her presence known, which would definately bother Delilah, or remain in her peaceful state of floating. After a total of five seconds, Kendall dove under water and resurfaced next to the shoreline. Grabbing her wand, she put it casually behind her back and walked up to Alex and Delilah. "Hey Delilah! Oh my gosh, your hair looks so great today- you have to teach me that charm you use." she said, a fake smile clinging to her lips. As they took their first few steps into the water, Kendall flicked the wand behind her back and a miniature squid wrapped itself around Delilah's tanned leg.
A few years ago, Kendall looked up to Delilah. She always loved her perfect blonde hair, her tanned skin, and her perfect smile. But now that she followed Alex around like a puppy, Kendall couldn't stand her.

Amity glanced over at Delilah and Alex, and then as Kendall walked over there, and the squid thing. She didn't really know Delilah that well, since she was older. She only knew Alex from Quidditch. She thought about going over to say hi, but she decided she like floating in the water. Or swimming, which was just as fun. On that note, she dove under. For some reason, everyone in her family could swim like a fish, and stay underwater for a long time. Well, except her sister, Allie, but the poor girl couldn't swim. Didn't know what she was missing, Amity always told her. But after a near-drowning experience, Amity's sister never went near the water again. That was their older brother's fault. They had gone to the pool, and the stupid lug had shoved her in. Father saved her. Amity thought as she swam, still underwater. But she never went near the water again. Amity swam a little more, hoping that no one would panic, seeing as she'd been under for a while.

Delilah had laughed at something Alex had said. "Alex, I can't believe you'd do that to-" She stopped and looked down. She screamed, not even trying to fool Alex. She jumped, screaming, into Alex's arms, crying. "You promised I'd be okay, Peaches! Can we go, please?" She looked at him, eyes wide, tears starting to form.

Kendall almost burst out laughing, but she bit her lip and turned away for a second. When she recovered, she looked back at Delilah, her eyes as wide as her's but for a different reason. The only word that could go through her head was 'Wow'. "Um, Peaches I'm going to wait over here with Amity. Join us when...you can." she said, patting his shoulder in sympathy as if he was being left with the world's most annoying blonde.

Alex sighed and lifted Delilah out of the water. "Things like that happen, don't let it bother you." Looking over Delilah, he mouthed the words you owe me big to Kendall. He walked Delilah over to the tree and set her down. "You stay here and calm down, I have to go talk to Kendall about... flowers." He pulled the first topic he could out of his head and hurried over to where Kendall and Amity were. "You owe me big after that one. And, don't call me Peaches. Bad enough having one person.." Alex frowned and glanced back at Delilah in anticipation. He was almost certain she would follow.

Kendall sat herself down in a patch of grass, letting the warm sunrays hit her skin. "Okay, so maybe I owe you a little, but I had to do it. Besides, maybe she'll be too scared to come back in the water and we can leave her...over there...far away...maybe she'll even leave." she replied, although it wasn't likely that Delilah would stay away from Alex. Kendall looked over at Delilah and then back to Alex. "Oooh, I know a way to get rid of her. How about truth or dare? We can dare her to go somewhere and look for something that will be impossible to find.." she added with a wide grin.

Delilah sat on the beach and pouted. How DARE he leave me on the beach alone to go talk to that- that- tramp! She was fed up and ready to leave. She wanted to go back inside and take a shower, for she was starting to smell like lake. She looked over at Kendall and Alex talking and almost screamed. Can't they step like. Eight feet back? They don't need to be that close! Delilah was sick of it. She stood up, ready to confront them, when she just slouched against a rock and silently admitted a small ounce of defeat.

"That would be amazing." Alex grinned. He looked over at Delilah and waved. "I'll go ask her if she wants to come, this will be interesting. Meet you up at the commons?" Alex smiled (for once) as he walked over to Delilah. He sat down next to her, a cheery look on his face. "Hey, Delilah. I was wondering if you'd like to play a game of truth or dare with Kendall and I. Amity too I think." He shot her a pleading look, his gorgeous puppy dog eyes shining with enthusiasm.
