Exhausted

Kendall smiled sheepishly to herself, recalling how she had tucked the schedule safely into her journal, treasuring the work Alex had put into it. That was when she had her ever-lasting crush on the captain, but now she was back with her Ex. Everyone told her he was a jerk and they were mostly right, but she wasn't good at saying no when it came to him. Last week she tried to break up with him, but he threatened her, and she stupidly kept it a secret. It was true Kendall needed a reality check and someone that was caring and honest, but hey this is the risk-taker Kendall who not very many people want to look after. She had the looks, the bubbly personality, and the brains, but she couldn't be 'tamed'.

"The singing was a brilliant touch, Alex, very nice." she said with a grin, walking down the hall with them. "Do you guys have a class now? I have a free period if you want to go down to the lake or something."

"No worries Amity, I'm sure you're not the only one that's lost it." Alex shrugged. Sure, it had taken some time to make, but he didn't mind really.. as long as they made it to practice on time. Alex thought about what classes he had next, a free period and than Charms. "The lake would be fun, I'll run up and grab a bathing suit. I've been meaning to swim some laps anyways. I'm getting out of shape." Alex, of course, was the image of perfection. He was just hard on himself when it came to his looks. It was hard to follow after his father, one of the top ten best looking men in Quidditch. For years he'd had older students come up to him inviting him, and his dad, to pool parties over the summer. So now, Alex pushed himself harder than he should in his daily workout sessions.

Kendall gave him a sideways look, "Alex, I'm sure you would like to get every ounce of exercise you can, but be realistic. You're a wizard, you don't have to run up and get your suit." she said dramatically with a playful smile. "Watch, I'll show you." Kendall took out her wand and said, "Accio bathing suit!" and a yellow and blue bikini appeared in her hands. "See, much easier," she said jokingly.
"Are you going to be joining us Amity? It will be a good show. I always woop Alex at a race, lets just say he should stick with quidditch." Kendall smiled, saying the last part as she walked away to the girls bathroom across the hall to change.

Amity thought about it too. "Yea! I have free period and then Care of Magical Creatures." she said, smiling. Care of Magical Creatures was a class she enjoyed, because it was outside. She was the type of girl who loved the outdoors, the fresh air, the grass, the sky. It was a reason she was pretty good in Herbology, but, she admitted, her best class was Charms. She didn't neccesarily know why she was good at it, she just was. "Wait for me Alex, I'll grab mine. I know a good hill we can jump off of."
Now, she would use Accio, like Kendall, but that wasn't one of her best spells. She always managed to mess it up somehow, which was why she didn't really want to use it to find her Quidditch schedule.

Alex sighed and took out his wand. He wanted the exercise, but he didn't want to keep everyone waiting. "Accio bathing suit." He muttered. His dark blue swim trunks came flying through the air and he caught them ith ease. "I'll go change and meet you guys at the lake, alright?" He took off towards the boys restroom to put on his swimsuit. Alex checked the mirror beore he left, just to make sure he looked alright. Hmm, I could use some more gym sessions. Guess I'll be hitting up the Room of Requirement later on.. My abs are horrendous. Alex sighed and left, making his way down to the lake to meet the girls.

Kendall changed quickly in one of the stalls. Unfortunately Moaning Myrtle was in that bathroom, so she had to endure a whole 4 minutes of a nonstop squeaky voice while she changed and examined herself for a moment in the miror. She had always had a slim, petite figure and she was happy that she could maintain it. She didnt work out, but some core muscles had developed from quidditch and swimming, one of her other favorite things to do.

Kendall left the bathroom and made her way to the lake. When she exited the building, the warm sun hit her skin and she smiled in delight. She kicked off her flipflops and dipped her feet into the water, waiting for the other two.

Amity made it up to the commonroom rather quickly, she was a pretty fast runner. It came from baseball in the muggle world, she assumed, rather like her ability to hit bludgers with amazing accuracy. She dug in her trunk at the foot of her bed, making a mess before she actualy found her bathing suit. "There's my Quidditch schedule..." she murmured, pulling out the slightly crumpled piece of paper. She tacked it to the wall near her bed and grabbed her bathing suitm then set off to find a bathroom to change in.

She slipped into one that was nearby and changed. Her bathing suit, while a one-piece model, showed off her curved form, and, being sleeveless like all bathing suits, her arms, muscular from hitting bludgers, were free of cloth for once, as were her long, nimble legs. The design was a simple one, a black suit with a yellow stripe down the front and the Hufflepudd insignia on the right side of her chest. Making sure everything was in order, she snatched her towel and her dry clothes and jogged down to the lake. Kendall was already there, but she hadn't seen Amity yet. Always one to dive right in, Amity went up to her favourite hill, dropped her towel, and dived. She landed with a tremendous splash and came up near Kendall. "Hi." she said, brushing wet hair from her eyes.

Kendall was deep in thought when Amity suddenly appeared, but she grinned and splashed some water at her with her foot. "Dang, you scared me." she said. Kendall picked up her wand that she had set near a tree, under a protecting spell of course though, and aimed it at one of the branches that jutted out slightly over the lake. A rope now dangled from it and she grabbed ahold of it, swinging powerfully from the rope and splashing into the glass-like water.

Kendall resurfaced after about seventy seconds of swimming under the cool water and flipped her hair back. "Just like the good 'ole days..."

Alex pounded down the stairs of the castle, eager to get into the water. He had a towel across his shoulders, and a t-shirt on to cover his body until he reached the water. He looked over to the lake and saw the two girls already in the water. He gave his legs an extra push and ran as fast as he could to reach the lake. "Hey girls, starting without me I see." He called out as he got near the edge of the lake. He set down his towel and wand, and reluctantly took off his shirt. "Don't stare too long ladies." He joked as he dived into the lake. He swam up to the top and shook his shaggy hair to get some of the water off. "Ah, it feels good."

Kendall grinned, happy to be in the moment. "About time C'ptain, where've you been?" she called to him before running up the shore again and swinging from the rope. She landed near the two of them and soaked them with water droplets. "Remember that time when my leg got caught by the Giant Squid, man that was a rush...until you had to come and save me." she said sarcastically. "Actually it was a very good thing that you came, 'cause that wouldn't have ended pretty."

Amity swam to the shore and climbed up the hill again and leapt off, but this time caught the rope and swung, flipping into the lake and curling into a ball, making and even more tremendous splash than before. "Oi, Alex, guess what? I found my schedule, it was in my trunk." she called, grinning sheepishly. She dove under and swam for a bit, flipping underwater a few times. Boy, did the water feel good. She hadn't swum since... She couldn't remember when. It was amazing.

Alex grinned. "Yeah, that was pretty insane. It sitll didn't end pretty, you're face is still the same. " Alex laughed. "No, you have a pretty face. It's the squid I tend to worry about.." Alex started to swim lazily on his back, floating on top of the water. It was fairly warm outside so Alex closed his eyes, basking in the sun's rays. His face glowed with the light, and his happiness. Swimming wasn't Alex's favorite thing to do by any means, but he loved being outside and he loved being with the girls. Any girls really.. Alex just.. loved girls. Although, lately Alex was having a hard time with any sort of romance, nothing worked out in his favor.

Amity floated on her back as well, letting the current take her where it will. She gave a satisfied sigh, staring up at the sky and shutting her eyes. It was so warm, she could almost feel the sun's rays tanning her skin. It was a glorious feeling, just lying there. Like floating on a cloud.... she thought, not that she kew what that felt like by any means. Her sixthe year by far was her favourite. She had finally made the Quidditch team and she had friends, people who actually cared what she thought and didn't avoid her because of her slightly over-competitive eccentricity.

Kendall laughed and gave him a small splash, "Yeah, you better take that back." she said, her smile slowly slipping from her lips as she looked away. It was times like these when she wished she had gotten rid of Jake, her ex. She dove under water before she started to tear, thinking of how she was going to get around his threats and finally be rid of him. When she finally resurfaced, she wiped away her blond hair and started to float too, letting the water hold her as she thought.

Alex flipped off of his back and dove under the water, resurfacing a few feet away. "I'm going to swim some laps, I haven't exercised much today." He called out to the girls. A swim quickly over to the side of the lake and climbed out. He stretched a little, his muscles flexing as he did so. With a shove, he dove into the water and started swimming across the lake. The lake was large, but Alex was used to the length and could swim about two laps without breaking. With his powerful strokes, it didn't take him too long to get across and back which was usually his break point. He stopped for a few moments to catch his breath, and started back across.
