Derrek was certainly getting sick of being flung up into the air. "Damn kid. You've got some power behind you. Just let me down and we can work this out." Derrek tried to persuade her to let him down. Heights didn't go over well with him.
Starla pulled herself up onto the dock and sat next to Ophelia. She wasn't sure exactly what to say, but she wanted to say something. "It's not your fault. He's a jerk, he played you. He's done it before and he'll probably do it again. I swear, this school is full of manwhores."

"Don't say that." Ophelia said. She didn't want that to be true, even if it really was. It was obvious how much Ophelia liked Derrek; it crushed her that she didn't feel the same way.
Addy cautiously let Derrek down. "So. What do you have to for yourself?" She asked, hands on her hips, her wand easily accessible.

Starla sighed. Ophelia really liked him, maybe it was her fault that it hadn't worked out. "I'm sorry... It's my fault that it didn't work out. I kept trying to stop it. Maybe.. maybe he wasn't all that bad." Starla murmured. She didn't even believe herself.
"First, I'd like to say sorry to Ophelia. If you could relay that message I would be very grateful. I shouldn't have led her on like that. It's just, I like someone else. I figured, if I could get Ophelia, maybe the other girl would get jealous." Derrek mumbled.

"No." Addalee said, "That's not how that works, You need to tell Ophelia. You are a jerk." Addalee lifted him back up, bringing him to Ophelia. "Well, Derrek." She said.
Ophelia looked up at Derrek, tears in her eyes. "Why are you here?" She asked. She didn't want him to know that he made her cry. Not because he would feel bad but because she liked him and he really didn't care. She didn't like, that not at all

"I've come to apologize. I should never have led you on like I did. I'm a complete jackass and I don't deserve your affection." Derrek mumbled awkwardly. Apologizing? Derrek? Ha, since when does that happen? "And, if you'd like to accept my apology, maybe we could.. hang out sometime. As friends." Derrek figured that was a good enough apology. Friends was okay right?

Ophelia was kind of angry at Derrek, still. "Fine." She said, sounding a bit aggravated. Ophelia sighed and looked away. There really wasn't anything to look at so she kinda looked a bit like she was trying to avoid him. Obviously it didn't work. Well, at least she couldn't see him.
Mackenzie walked up to Derrek. "Hello." She said. She stood next to her brother making faces at Addy. Addy simply ignored her, it didn't work out too well though.

Derrek smiled another one of his famous smiles, but this time there was meaning behind it. He wasn't sure how this friendship would turn out, but he wasn't fond of most of his own housemates. "Good. Than you all wouldn't object to hanging out at Hogsmeade next weekend?" Derrek turned around to see his little sister, fantastic. It wasn't that he hated her, he just hated having her around. She was always trying to be just like him and no one is like Derrek. Derrek is damned special.

Ophleia sighed. "Why not?" She said. She didn't really want to but she would any way. He sounded sincere. So, why not? Well, friends was good for now. She was going to make him like her. She wanted to be more than friends. At least he would still talk to her, even if he didn't care.

"Excellent. I'll meet you in the Entrance Hall right before we leave. We can go get butterbeer or something, or.. shop I guess." Derrek suggested. He wasn't sure if she was the shopping kind of girl, but he figured she could find something she'd want, he could buy it for her, make nice, and be done with them all.
Starla wasn't sure how she felt about Ophelia being with Derrek at Hogsmeade, especially after he made her cry. But, if anything Addy would take care of him. Dear, vicious, Addy.

"Okay, sounds good." Ophelia said, standing up. It was just about time for bed. She really didn't like Derrek that much anymore. She didn't want to be more than friends anymore. Ophelia's thoughts change rather quickly. She yawned and stretched out her arms. She was going to go say good night to the thestrals first, hopefully Derrek didn't follow her. [[Ahem, Derrek, follow her.]]
Addy glared at Derrek and his sister then skipped off. Addy was really quite ecentric. She was wearing very badly chosen colors that didn't go together at all but she didn't care. Her sister didn't really mind much either, she didn't think Starla cared anyway.

Starla watched everyone go their seperate ways and decided to follow Addy. She was about ready for bed anyways, it was a long day.
Derrek watched after Ophelia, deciding to follow her and see where she was going. He followed silently behind, making little noice. She wouldn't hear him, unless she was listening for it.

Ophelia turned around, not seeing anyone. She heard somebody, maybe she was going crazy. Ophelia went down to the thestrals, looking a bit like a mad hatter, talking to creatures whom normally couldn't be seen. "Star, Is Ophelia going to be okay?" Addy asked her sister while they were walking to the common room.

Derrek hopped up into the nearest tree to watch Ophelia. She looked like she was talking to herself, strange girl. He scooted over, rustling the branches in the process.
"I'm sure she'll be fine.. She can take care of herself. Besides, she's got you as a personal bodyguard huh kid?" Starla laughed. Addy did seem to be a bit protective.

Ophelia heard something. She looked up at the tree above her. "Umm...Hi, Derrek." Ophelia said. She sounded quite embarrased. "I'm not talking to myself, I swear." She said, Ophelia wasn't about to tell him who she was talking to.
"Yes, she does." Addy said. " And, she can scream, remember? When she was screaming at you, that was loud." Addy started laughing.

Derrek looked at her, a bit unsure. Who else could she be talking to? "Well than dearest Ophelia, who exactly are you talking to? I don't happen to see anyone around." Derrek said, hopping down from the tree.
Starla nodded, Ophelia certianly had a set of lungs on her. "Yeah, I doubt she'd have a problem being heard if she wanted to."
