Amity grinned. "Not at all. If you want, I could ask my dad if he could stop by Flourish and Blotts on one of his trips to Diagon Alley and send me some copies for us. SOme of the pages might be worn out on that one." she said, looking over Starla's shoulder again. "He wouldn't mind." she looked at the picture of the Crumpel-Horned Snorkack again.

Starla grimaced a little at the mention of a father, but regained her composure as fast as she could. "That would be fantastic. Just tell me how much the book costs so I can pay you back." Starla flipped through the book and saw many other creatures that she one day aspired to find. They even had a lengthy section of nargles! "Ever heard of a nargle?" Most people, of course, hadn't.

Amity paused for a moment, chewing on the inside of her mouth. The term "nargle" sounded so familiar. "Yea, I think so." Was it nargles that were in that one field? She mused to herself, trying to figure out where she had heard that term before. "I don't know, but it sounds familiar." she said.

"Oh, you should read about them when you get the chance. Odd creatures they are, quite interesting though." Starla's favorite creature to talk about was the nargle. A habit she'd picked up from her mother over time. A suden growling came from the pit of Starla's stomach. "Oh, I guess it's a bit past lunch time isn't it? I've been in here since I woke up, so I missed breakfast.."

"We're not that late. We should probably be getting to the Great Hall for lunch anyway." she agreed, feeling hungry herself. "And don't worry about the book, think of it as a gift from a friend." she said, responding to Starla's earlier question. "We could chat after classes. You could tell me more about the nargle while I ask my dad about the books." she grinned.

"Sounds good. I guess we had best get going, don't want to miss the good food." Starla smiled. She'd come to learn in her five years at Hogwarts that the elves made better food at the beginning of lunch than at the end. "Thanks, maybe someday we could go out and find the nargles together. It'd be quite the discovery."

"We could scope the globe to find all the rearer, lesser known creatures." she agreed, grinning. Sure, they were from different houses and were different ages, but heck, who said you can;t have different friends? "C'mon, let's go get some lunch. Do you still want to check the book out or do you want to wait until my dad sends the new copies?"

"I guess I can check it out until the new copies come. Just to get some research done tonight. Haven't got any homework... I finished it all yesterday." Starla shrugged. She was always ahead on her homework, so she had plenty of freetime to pursue her hobbies. "Lunch would be great." Starla checked the book out quickly, it didn't take long since the librarian knew her quite well. She turned to the exit and headed towards the Great Hall.

Amity followed behind her, wishing to herself that Starla were in Hufflepuff, so they could eat together, and she could introduce her to everyone. "Oh!" she said, remembering something. "You said you were in Ravenclaw right? SO do you know my sister Allie? She'd be a year older than you."

"The name sounds familiar. Haven't realy ever talked to her though. I don't have many frieds in my own house.. or in gneral for that matter." Starla shrugged. It bothered her of course, but she wouldn't let anyone know that. "I do know one other Hufflepuff, Kendall Potter? My mom sometimes had me stay at the Potter's when I was younger.. she was at work and all."

"Yea. Kendall's nice. I know her pretty well, considering we share a lot of classes, she's in Hufflepuff, and Quidditch and all." Amity said. "Allie's pretty quiet. She's the brown haired one that's always reading? Looks a lot like me? We're kind of twins, but we're too different to be in the same house."

"Yeah. Haven't talked much to Kendall this year. I think she's a tad embarassed by me.." Starla was actually quite positive that Kendall was embarassed by her, than again who wasn't? "Oh, yes. I see her a lot in the library when I'm there.Or up in the commons studying. Never really talked to her, she always looks so serious."

Amity frowned at the first part. "Of course not. You seem nice enough. Who cares if you're different? Different is good. Not following the crowd of idiotic preps." she said. Then she shrugged. "I guess Allie is a little serious all the time. When I catch her I usually try to get her to have some fun though."

"That's how I feel, most people just don't share my opinon." Starla didn't see why people had to be so uptight. She was different yes, but why couldn't people just accept her for wh she was? "Yeah, she looks like she needs some excitement in her life.I'm a Ravencaw sure, and I love to learn, but sometimes.. you just need to let loose an have fun. That balance is what helps me with my studies."

Amity nodded. "She always works so hard. She thinks that because she doesn't have many friends, she needs to get good grades to make dad proud. But if she'd just talk to people... Like you, or anyone else who'd be willing to help her out of her shell..."
