"Its okay. I'm just really shy." she said, waving her hand. "So I guess we have a plan for tomorrow morning then?" she said, changing the subject. She took a bite of a roll she was eating and waited for a reply.

"It's fine. I kind of noticed, actually I think everyone has." Starla giggled. Allie amused her. She was so used to being around loud obnoxious people, that this stark difference was quite welcome to her. "Definately. I'll be sure to get you up when I do. Which dorm are you in anyways?" Starla stopped talking for a moment, just to shove even more food down her throat.

"The sixth years..." she said. She took another bite of her roll and placed another one on her plate. The rolls were really good. They were, admittedly, one of her favourite foods, next to the pumpkin pasties and other sugary treats.

"Alright. That's just one floor above mine. I'll nip up there before I get ready in the morning." Starla nodded. She wasn't used to talking to people that actually wanted to make plans with her, so she came off as a bit overzealous about the whole ordeal. Starla finished off her main meal, and picked up a small bowl of jello to eat. Jello was Starla's favorite dessert, especially the blue one. "You like jello? It's my favorite."

"I do, but Amity doesn't. She says its too wiggly for her. I like orange best." she said. She grabbed an orange jello and a pumpkin pasty after finishing her main meal. She didn't really mind Starla's enthusiasm, it was a lot like Amity's, so she was basically used to it. She was excited for the next morning, she didn't have a lot of friends, and here was someone who actually wanted to hang out with her!

"Oh? The wigglyness of it is the best part. It's so much more exciting than any other.. dull treat. I mean, pie and treacle tart are good.. just not jello. I'm quite fond of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor beans too. So many odd flavors." Starla rambled on. She didn't eat too many unhealthy treats, but she could never resist jello. To say the least, Starla was quite a character.

Allie shrugged. "Tht's what I said, but she says she's fine with pumpkin pasties-she really likes those. She likes Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans too." Allie said. Some of their fellow Ravenclaws stared, they had never heard Allie utter such a long sentance. Some of them looked suprised, as if they had assumed that she wsa mute or something.

"They aren't bad, they're just too.. boring. I like exciting foods. Actually, I just like anything exciting in general." Starla was one of those people that hated the norm. She tended to like everything different from everyone else. Not just for the sake of being different, but because it was just her nature to be different. Starla looked at all of the people with an odd expression. She was examining them, they seemed surprised. She figured that it was either the fact that Allison was talking, or the fact that someone was talking to her.

Allie noticed their stares and looked away. "Uh... Do you go anywhere near the lake, at all?" she asked, nervously. Aquaphobic, Allie hated going anywhere near the water. It was awful, being the only 16 year old that didn't know how to swim. Only Amity knew, And Adair, but he didn't really care.

"I do sometimes, depends on the weather. If it's partially cloudy I stay away from it, means the nargles are on the hunt for swimmers. But, if it's sunny I can go near it, unless it's a Thursday because Gonk-Riggers might pull me in." Starla explained. To most people she was making absolutely no sense, but in her own mind it sounded perfectly logical. Most people just didn't know what a Gonk-Rigger was. It was certainly common knowledge to her family though.

Allie blinked. "Oh. Okay." she'd ask Amity what those were later. She'd know. Allie hoped that it would be cloudy tomorrow. Being near the lake made her nervous, especially with the people who thought it was funny to shove people into the lake running about. They especially after her, since, as they all assumed she was, it was always a good laugh to tease the 'mute' girl, she couldn't yell or scream for help. Just watch out for her sister. She had heard them saying that once. Apparently, they had figured out that Amity didn't take the teasing of her sister lightly.

Starla nodded. "We could go swim laps if you'd rather do that. I have a pretty flexible workout schedule." Starla would swim on occasion when the weather was nice. She glanced up at the celing to see how the weather was. It was pretty sunny today, so maybe the next day would be too. "It should be nice tomorrow."

"I-I don't really like swimming. Or the water...." Allie said, shaking her head. Swimming.... Wasn't her strong point. Not after that day when Amity and herself were learning to swim, and Adair had pushed her in. She never went near the water again after that near-drowning experience.

"Oh, well we can stay away from it if that would make you feel better." Starla shrugged. She didn't see anything wrong with the water, especially not the lake. The lake had so many interesting creatures in it, and it was very peaceful. Starla had considered taking a day to use a bubblehead charm and explore under the water. "The lake really is nice though."

Allie shrugged, falling silent. It wasn't that she dislike the water, it was that she couldn't swim. Which was kind of sad. Everyone expected her to love the water, Laurenses were known to take to the water like fish, and be especially good at the bubblehead charms. Allie was, but whenever she went in the water, she panicked. She only really went near the water when Amity was with her, because Amity was a star swimmer. She could spend at least five minutes under water without a bubblehead charm, and longer with one. At least an hour, last time Allie checked.
