Aiden put his hands behind his head and yawned again. He leaned against the back of the couch. "Come on, Alex," He smirked, a sparkle in his eye, "you know I don't like to share!" He played with his dark blonde hair some more in an attempt to make it go the way he wanted to. He sighed at his futile attempt, and sniffed.

Kendall nodded and followed Delilah's path up the stairs. She took a breath before knocking on the door, and then thought about what she was going to say. But that was the problem, she had no idea what to say. Hmm...Im sorry that Alex likes me Delilah, is there anything I can do for you? Nope, that won't work. Kendall decided she'd just play it by ear and walked through the door. She saw her sitting on her bed and took a few steps closer. "Look Delilah, I know you're not okay with this, and I understand why. I'm apologizing for what we asked you just now, but not for anything else. I know you're hurt and crushed...and I don't want to flaunt it in your face, even though I tried, but I'm sorry for that." she said, speaking somewhat rapidly.

Delilah wiped her eyes. She looked up as Kendall walked in. Fabulous, she thought, Just the person I want to see. She wanted to groan, but Kendall was within earshot, so she didn't. Kendall apologized about the hottest quidditch players list. Delilah rolled her eyes. "You can't just make fun of me and then come up and apologize for it. I mean, I think it's..." She struggled for a word. "bold of you to come up here. But honestly, I don't think I'm going to accept it. And besides. Alex wasn't even on the list," She scoffed, slipped on her slippers, and walked into the bathroom.

Kendall's jaw dropped and she watched her disappear into the bathroom. "Fine, don't accept it. I wasn't asking you to!" she yelled at the closed door. She left the dorm and walked back downsatirs. Bold of me?! No, it was being kind-hearted and responsible she argued to herself. Kendall returned to her spot beside Alex and slipped her arm around his. "That B- brat..." she said, catching herself.

"What did she do this time? I'm getting a bit tired of her attitude about this.. She's never acted like this before." Alex sighed. Delilah had been one of his really good friends and he'd used to enjoy hanging out with her, most of the time.. Sometimes she'd been a bit.. clingy. "What do you think we should do? I don't really want to.. leave her like that. We used to be friends and all. Oh, did she ever tell you want number I was?" Alex was quite proud of his standing in the top, and he always relied on Delilah to keep track of his place in the list.. But now...

"I could talk to her if you want." Amity offered from her place by the fire. Delilah seemed upset with Alex and Kendall, and she didn't like her dormmate being all gloomy and stuff. She was, in fact, an extremely kind person at heart. The only people she ever hated were in Slytherin house, and they deserved her fury tenfold.

Aiden stood. "No, Am, I'll go up and talk to her. I've known her for a while, I know what to do." Aiden walked to the girl's dormitory and saw the bathroom door shut. "Delilah?" He called, walking in, his hand on the doorframe.
Suddenly, the bathroom door opened. A red-faced Delilah stalked through the door in her pajamas. She sat on her bed, hugging her pillow. Aiden had been in the room once before- to see Delilah, but on another account, but it had been dark. He could tell the bed was Delilah's, because of the moving photographs of her and her friends laughing, the pictures of bathing-suit-clad muggle men, and a picture, that Aiden knew to have had her and Alex laughing by the lake, face down on the bedside table.
He sat down next to her on the bed, and wrapped his arms around her. He knew not to say anything, but to just let her cry into his chest. After about a quarter of an hour, she spoke. "Thanks," was all she said, crackily, before laying her head back down on his chest.
Aiden layed back against the headboard, repositioning Delilah and himself more comfortably. They were laying next to each other, arms around each other protectively. Suddenly, Delilah looked up at Aiden. Aiden knew that just for Delilah to know someone was there for her was all she really needed.

Amity sat for a moment, a little suprised. Am? she thought. No one ever bothered to give her a nickname, except for her brother, he called her Amy, but only to annoy her. She shrugged and stared at the fire, then began to wonder what the devil they were doing up there. "I'm going to go up and check on them, they've been up there a while..." she said, then trotted up the stairs. She knocked first, a curtesy that had been pounded into her head. "Hullo? Are you guys okay?"

"Yeah, Amity, one second," Aiden asked. "You gonna be okay?" He looked at Delilah, his eyes shining.
"Yeah," She croaked, rolling over and hiding under her covers. She fell asleep as Aiden played with her hair.
As soon as Aiden knew Delilah was asleep, he left with Amity. He shut the door lightly, and turned around and walked to the common room with Amity. They flopped down on a couch together.
"You really hurt her, Alex," Aiden said, looking at Alex.

Amity nodded her agreement, but didn't say anything. She didn't think the joke was very kind, especially after the incidents of the night before. She was suprised, to say the least. It didn't seem like something any sane person would do. epsecially to a Housemate.

Kendall looked from Aiden to Alex. She rubbed his arm as some kind of 'It wasn't your falut' touch. She wasn't really sure how to react. Of course she was involved, but she wasn't as deep in as Alex.
Drake observed as everybody went about. He had obviously noticed some tension, but didn't know the whole story.

Alex sighed. He knew he'd hurt Delilah and he certainly felt bad about it, but what else could he have done? He had to answer the question eventually.. He had gone overboard with the last question though. "I'm really sorry I hurt her. Honestly though, what else could I have done in the situation I was put it. It's not my fault she asked, or that I like Kendall. I always have, and that won't change anytime soon."

"I know it's not entirely your fault, Alex," Aiden said. "The fact that she was bawling in her room changes a lot though. I know you couldn't have helped her from being hurt. But those jokes, and calling her names, Alex," Aiden rubbed his face with his hands, "you're not helping your cause at all!" Aiden stood up. "I'll either be in my room or out flying. You want to talk? Wait."

"Aiden wait. You know Delilah better than any of us, what can I do to fix this. I can't stand making people mad, and I promise I feel terrible about all this. I'll do as much as I can to fix this mess." Alex bit his lip in frustration. He really did hate having people mad at him, especially when it was his fault. He held on tighter to Kendall's hand for support, he needed to know that at least someone was there for him.

Amity jumped a little when Aiden jumped up. Personally, she wanted to go out flying to, but she wasn;t sure if that was a good idea. Tensions felt tight, and se didn't want to cause any rifts in her new friendships. She'd probably go if Aiden invited her, but if not she'd just stay seated... Which she'd probably end up doing.
