Delilah wasn't used to wanting something and not getting it. She got a pony when she was five, a puppy when she was eight, and a pool when she was ten. She was an only child, so she was pretty spoiled. But now. She sighed, wiping her eyes. This is what she wanted more than anything, and she didn't get it. She would trade in all the ponies, puppies, and pools in the world for Alex. One night with Alex. She started to cry again, thinking of how stupid she must've been. It was all that little Potter girl's fault. She'd get back at her. There was no way in hell she'd let her go unpunished. Sure, it didn't have to be the worst punishment ever, but she wouldn't let that... that... thing get away for how she hurt her. She'd do something, anything to make her pay. Suddenly she heard the door open and she quickly sniffled and wiped her tears off with the sleeves of her blouse. "Hello?" She asked, her voice quivering.

"You better stick around." she replied, returning his smile. "I don't mind. Just as long as she keeps her hands off, it doesn't really bother me." answered Kendall. Now that she knew Alex liked her, and not Delilah, she wasn't as threatened by the love sick stalker. As he left, Kendall called, "Hurry back..." and then rested her head on the couch. After about five minutes, her eyes started to droop and despite her desperate tries to stay awake, sleep overtook her small body. She fell into a pleasant dream about Alex and her dad. They were playing quidditch in the backyard. Kendall unconsciously smiled and then was enveloped by a deep sleep.

Again, from Andi.
Alex nodded and walked in to find Delilah. "Delilah? You in here?" He called out in the commons. He didn't see her anywhere, so he continued searching for her. He felt terrible for hurting her like that, but he hadn't known that she had liked him that much. She did act strange around him sometimes but he'd never thought anything of it. Alex called out again as he walked up the stairs to the floor where the dormitories were. "Delilah? You up here?"

Delilah heard Alex's voice and didn't know whether to laugh or smile. She hoped truely that he was coming to tell her he had made a mistake and didn't love Kendall, he had always loved her. But something in the back of her mind told her it wasn't true. She couldn't believe things like that. She wiped off her eyes with her blouse sleeves once more and asked, "Alex?" She was sure her face was all blotchy and red, and highly unattractive. She stood up to see him standing in the doorway, a gift from the quidditch gods. "Please don't tell me you heard me," She looked down, sniffing.

I know it looks like I'm roleplaying with myself, but alas, again from Andi.
"No, I just wanted to make sure you were okay. I'm really sorry it had to happen like this. I wish we could have talked about this before." He sat down next to her and looked at her, his face written with apology. He wanted to be friends with her still, but he wasn't sure if they could be. "You'll be okay with it right? I really didn't want to hurt you..."

"Well, you did a pretty crappy job of that," She half laughed, half scoffed. She played with her sleeve. "Like, Alex," She sighed, "I don't really know how to explain myself. I just like. Really liked you. It's hard to explain," She looked down at the floor, letting a moment pass. "You know when you really want something? Like, a new doll, or the new Firebolt?" She watched as he nodded. "I wanted you, so, so much more than that Alex. And I guess if we had talked calmly, instead of something so... rash, I might get over this better."
"And I actually saw you as more than a shiny new broomstick, Alex. I saw you as a fun-loving, caring guy. With a beautiful smile," she watched as he smiled and her heart swelled again. She sighed and let her head rest against the wall. Her heart fell heavy in her chest, but she was ecstatic to be this close to the one she loved the most.

Alex bit his lip in frustration, this was going to be harder than he thought. How could she.. want him so much? Yes, he was gorgeous and yes, he was a nice guy. But, she was bordering on obsession almost. Comparing him to a Firebolt? The Firebolt that he would give his life savings for, that he would almost give his life for? He almost understood where she was coming from... almost.
"Look, Delilah.. It's really sweet of you and all but, honestly we'd never work out anyways. I'm always wrapped up with Quidditch and.. we'd never have time to spend together. With Kendall it's different, she's there with me and we have so much in common and.. you probably don't want to hear that." He was trying to keep this as easy as possible while still being nice. But , it was certainly hard.

"And I knew Kendall's little 'making me admit my obsession' thing might've turned you off a bit, but it's not as it seems," Except it totally was. "And of course it's just like you to mention her when we're talking about feelings. She was the one who ruined all of this!" She slammed her head against the wall, causing her head to throb. "Oww," She groaned, rubbing her head. "And I know I'm not all quidditch-obsessed like your little girlfriend-" Her heart hurt at the word, "out there. But who says we have to spend ALL of our time together, Alex? I know I'd get sick of them seeing them all the time, every day." Suddenly, he was looking at her. She looked right back into his shining brown eyes. She leaned in a little bit. With all the passion she felt, she kissed him soundly on the lips.

Kendall had heard a loud thump on the wall, followed by an 'OW' and she woke up suddenly from her sleep. Alex has been out there for a while... she thought and stood to her feet, stretching. She yawned and entered into the commons. Kendall's heart almost dropped to the floor and her eyes were as wide as they could go. "A-omg" she barely got out and quickly ran out of the room. Tears started to roll out of her broken green eyes and she threw herself on the sofa.

"GET OFF!" Alex yelled as he shoved Delilah off with a little more force than necessary. "That is absolutely the lowest, most despicable thing you have ever done in your life. And Delilah McLaggen, you belong in Slytherin. You are a caniving, lying, bitch and I never want to see you again." Alex stormed out of the room slamming doors as he went. He eyes were full of anger, how could she do that to him? And right after everything had happened. And right in plain view where Kendall... oh.. SHIT! Kendall. He looked around and saw Kendall on the couch. He sat down softly beside her, unsure of what to say. "Before you say anything, I just want you to know that she kissed me and not the ther way around. I would never, I never had feelings for her and I'm damn sure there's no way I ever will.

Kendall didn't, or wouldn't, look at him. She forced her tears to stop falling and gave a last sniffle before raising her head. "I can't believe you Alex. I do believe she made the move, but I thought I warned you. That was my whole point of the game, she's obsessed and you went to her anyways. It shouldn't have taken you ten to fifteen minutes anyways to say sorry. She plans things, ok- she plans things like this." exclaimed Kendall. She tried to keep her voice steady and she surprisingly did. Deep down, she knew Alex probably just got caught at the wrong time.
Kendall got up and ran a shaky hand through her hair. "I'm tired." she lied and took a few steps backwards. "I think I should get to bed."

"FUCK!" She said, placing her head in her hands. "What have I done? I ruined everything. He's probably out there snogging her right now," She choked on her words, and more tears fell. She walked over to her bed and fell on it. She drew her yellow curtains, put a silencing charm around herself and fell on her pillow and cried. The sad thing was, all of the things she had said to Alex were true.

"I honestly had no idea she was.. like that." Alex mutterend. One of Alex's faults was that he always tried to see the good in people, but never the bad. He only noticed after it was too late to change what happened. He nodded slightly, worried that she would be mad at him for what had happened. He couln't blame her though, it wasn't the best position to be caught in. "I'm sorry I.. didn't see her for what she was. It was my fault, and you have reason to be mad." He walked over and hugged her lightly, in case she wanted to pull away. "I still pick you. I'll always pick you."

Kendall listened to what he had to say, but didn't respond. When he put his arms around her, she at first just stood there, but then she started to reason things out in her head. Alex didn't know about Delilah. Kendall only knew because she watched her every move. Besides, they've known eachother for years, and this was the last thing she expected from him. She slowly wrapped her arms around his neck and sighed. Looking up from his feet to his face, Kendall searched for true sincerity in his eyes and found it. "I guess I can't blame you for much...It was just the most sickening thing I've ever seen. And it better not happen again." she said. She was confident that it wouldn't happen again now that Alex knew about Delilah.
Kendall turned her head to look at the stairwell leading to the girls' dorms. "Now I have to go sleep in a bed right next to that...dreadful thing."

"I'm sorry I went in there. I've set things straight, she'd best stay the hell away from me." Alex mumbled. He felt a bit bad about screaming at Delilah, but she certainly deserved it. Now, hopefully, she'd stay away until she could control herself and he wouldn't have to worry about anything happening. "I'm more worried about what she'll do to you than anything else.. She doesn't exactly have much of a brain, if any at all, but she could still do something." He'd never known Delilah could be so.. cunning, but now he knew to keep up his guard around her. "You'd best sleep up in my dorm tonight. Just to be safe of course." He said with a grin. He was only half joking, he really was worried.
