Kendall finally smiled, but she really had to force herself to shake her head no. "As tempting as that sounds, I can't. I can't risk another detention or my quidditch career could plumett(sp?) even further." she replied, letting her arms slip down to his waste. She started to back away towards the stairs and smiled. "Besides...I don't want any sloppy seconds." added Kendall, turning her back to him. She began climbing the winding stairs and hoped that Delilah was asleep already.

Alex sighed, defeated. "Ah well, maybe next time. I'm still worried for you. Be careful up there." He called out after her. He watched her climb up the stairs, then waited awhile before going up to his own dormitory. He wanted to make sure she didn't come down screaming before he could go up at least a little less worried. He pulled his shirt off and slipped into his bed. He drifted into a light sleep, his thoughts full of Quidditch and Kendall.

Kendall tossed and turned a lot during the night, images of Delilah kissing Alex haunting her mind. Around 6:00 a.m. she rubbed her eyes open and slipped out of her bed. She wanted to sleep in on her Saturday morning, but she just couldn't sleep any longer. Kendall did the usual morning routine of taking a shower, brushing her teeth, getting dressed, etc. before she finally skipped down the stairs into the common rooms. She sat on the couch and wrote a letter to her father, giving him an update on her classes and quidditch (she didn't mention Alex yet) and then went down to the owlery to send it. When she got back, no one was up yet. Kendall sighed and that small noise filled the empty room. After a minute or two of boredness, she crept up the boys' stairs and quietly opened the door to Alex's dorm. After making sure none of the other guys were up, she tiptoed over to his bed and ran her fingernail up and down his arm.

Alex's eyes jolted open as he jumped up. "What the..? Oh, Kendall. You scared the hell out of me." He chuckled and pulled her up onto his bed. "Decided to give in a join me up here than? She didn't do anything right? You're okay?" He drilled her, just to appease his worries. She looked fine, but you never know with magic. His muscles rippled as he stretched out on his bed. It hadn't occured to him yet that his shirt was still off, else he might have put it back on.

Kendall smiled, "No, I'm fine." she replied to his frantic drilling. She watched him stretch and was impressed. "Been working out? You should be #1 in the Hottest Quidditch Star magazine." she said with a grin, taking hold of his hand. "C'mon sleepy, get outa bed before one of your roommates wakes up."

Alex looked down and noticed the lack of clothing on his upper body. "Oh, well. Dad's got that spot... I'm rising up there though. Last I heard I was in the top 100, bet Delilah would know." He laughed, Delilah was almost a joke now. A thing of the past that provided humor to his day. "They'd be proud of me I think. They've got different girls up here every week.. It's sad really." He shrugged and hopped out of his bed, throwing on a shirt from his trunk as he moved about. "Shall we go than?"

Delilah walked into the bathroom, passing Kendall's bed. Seeing that she wasn't in it made her want to start bawling again, but she refrained. They could be- doing things right now, she thought, the tears threatening again. She looked at herself in the mirror. Her face had dark mascara lines, and her eyes were still red and blotchy. She wiped off the dried lines and told herself she wasn't going to cry anymore. He didn't deserve her, and that was that. But she still couldn't seem to get over it. Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all, right? Not to Delilah. She threw her hair up in a ponytail, something she seldom did, and walked down the stairs. She still had her pajama pants and tank top on, but she didn't care. It was seven o' clock on a Saturday, no one was going to be down there. She could lie down and watch the fire in peace.

"Yeah, she'd know for sure..." replied Kendall, resting on his bed while he changed. When he finished, she walked over to the door with him and left the dorms. In the common rooms, the fire crackled and the lights were dim. However, the room was fairly lit by the sunlight trying to pry its way through the half-opened curtains. Now there was a person sitting in a chair though with their back turned towards them. Kendall peered closer and prayed to God it wasnt Delilah...

Delilah heard someone coming down the stairs, but didn't think much of it. She looked into the fire, letting her mind wander to things other that Alex. She tried to think of something- anything else. Her heart hurt just thinking about not thinking about him. She thought about charms homework she still had to finish. She pulled her legs under her, hugged the pillow, and rested her chin on the top. Her feet were cold, and they felt good under her fuzzy, warm pants. She sat in silence for a moment longer.

Alex's lip curled at the sight of Delilah. He wasn't sure he could handle being around her without getting more angry than he already was. "Ready to go down to breakfast? It'll be a little less.. stressful." He muttered to Kendall. He took Kendall's hand in his own and walked a little further into the commons. "Hey, Delilah! D'ya recall what spot I was in Hottest Quidditch Players magazine? I can't recall." He couldn't help but ask Delilah. He was curious to see what spot he was at.

Kendall intertwined her fingers with his and unwillingly turned to face Delilah. "Yeah, we were just having a conversation about that...couldn't recall what spot he was in, although he should be first of course." she said, leaning into him a little and smiling. She had to admit, the look on her face was priceless.
Drake Simmons tiredly climbed down the stairs and entered the common rooms. He spotted Alex and Kendall and shook his head with a yawn. "Well its not every morning your alarm clock is a hot giggling girl..." he said, practically tossing himself on the couch. His eyes flutterred closed and then open again, trying not to nod off. " G'Morning Delilah.."

Amity came down the stairs around the same time, giving a good natured "G'mornin." before sitting down in one of the chairs. "We have Quidditch practice later today, right? I want to make sure my schedule wasn't messed with. Slytherin have gone loweer hatn that to win." she rubbed her eyes and yawned.

Delilah looked at the floor, fighting back tears. First he breaks her heart, then he has the nerve to MOCK HER? They were probably going to laugh about it later. She had to get out of there before she really did cry. "Er.. I forgot... Er. Yeah," She said and ran up the stairs, tears flowing. SHIT, she thought. I said no more tears. And what do I do? I cry. UGH! she flopped on her bed and cried.
Aiden walked down the stairs, his hair mussed. He had on a muscle shirt and plaid pajama pants. "Alex, next time you want to have your girlfriend in our room at six in the morning, at least put a silencing charm up or something," He yawned, plopping on the couch at Amity's feet. "As much as I love giggling girls in my room, it's a nuisance if they're not with me," He looked and Alex and winked.

Kendall watched Delilah go and Aiden enter. "Morning Aiden, and sorry bout that..." she said, smiling sheepishly. She then looked to Alex, her smile fading. "Should I go talk to her?" she asked quietly. She wasn't fond of Delilah, but the Potter genes were taking over and she felt bad for doing that to her.
Drake smiled as he saw Aiden enter. "Yeah man, I had the same problem. But what I didnt get is why Alex should be #1 for the quidditch spot, I think I'd fit the qualifications pretty well." he said jokingly.

"Probably better than me talking to her.. be careful though." He whispered back to Kendall. He grinned and looked over at Aiden. "Well, this one's mine. You have to let us other boys have our fun once in awhile right?" He chuckled and shook his head. Aiden was easily the pimp of the Hufflepuff house and had girls up in the door more than anyone else, but this was one girl he wouldn't have.
